Yes, I've never heard anyone insisting on every note like him here. It's absolutely gorgeous, he's making a statement with every note and just doesn't let go of what he's saying again and again and again. Utter decisive, yet tender, conviction.

Although a bit slower maybe than usual, his sound is so nice and resounding that can't help but loving it. Pogorelich keeps the long melodic line fairly well and does here a cool rendition of the piece. He should have recorded the whole Chopin Nocturnes. Simply love it, can't criticise such a performance. He is different, but is very good. 💎❤️👌

There are clearly 3 voices in this piece. It’s a little like a Bach 3 part invention. And I know Chopin studied Bach extensively. To me pogorelich brings out the 3 voices so beautifully! And the Hamburg Steinway D is one of the finest pianos I’ve ever heard.
Demasiado lento, me ha puesto de los nervios. Falta legato en algunos momentos. Interpretación algo fatua. Hay otra versión de Pogorelich mucho mejor en You Tube, con la partitura. En cualquier caso, Cortot y, sobre todo, Friedman interpretaron este nocturno con una maestría absoluta. Marta Argerich también lo toca muy bien.
Nadie como Tatiana Shebanova en Chopin. Y en concreto en los Nocturnos, las interpretaciones de Moravec, Freire y recientemente Amoyel, para mí, son también difíciles de superar. Pogorelich me gusta especialmente en su Scarlatti y su Ravel. 😔🙄

Actualmente, me abstengo de hacer comentarios opinando sobre si fulano o zutano interpretan así o asá determinada obra musical. Como alguien, en un comentario anterior, me decía, eso son tonterías. Ni más ni menos. En cuanto a Pogorelich creo que es un gran pianista pero yo, como simple aficionado, y, ahora entre nosotros dos, CREO que su versión de este maravilloso nocturno es demasiado lenta y que la de Friedman es genial e inimitable. Yo soy muy viejo ya y en lo que se refiere al piano me gusta la escuela antigua en la que se daba más importancia al sentimiento que a la técnica. Para una fidelidad perruna a la partitura ya tenemos los computadores.
