Hey guys, I am getting started on your sailing videos! Thank you for sharing your adventure! I noticed it did not look like you lashed the anchor down. When stowing the anchor on the bow as you have it, you will want to make sure to secure the anchor (not the chain) to the boat with a small piece of rope to make sure if the chain breaks away from the anchor shackle you don't lose the anchor. I also recommend safety wiring the anchor shackle together just to make sure the shackle does not come apart on you. Also, I can't tell if you are using a snubber, but if not you should look into one. It will distribute the load from directly on the chain to the cleats on the bow. For a future idea, I would consider putting controls for the anchor windlass near the helm. This would allow one person to weigh the anchor if someone is injured or sick.
