- Paris International Airport - Charles de Gaulle (CDG), also known as Roissy Airport, is an airport located in the Paris metropolitan area. It consists of 3 terminals. To go from one gate or terminal to another, you can take a train or bus. In this video I show you my experience from T2 gate M to gate G.

I won't be using this airport on my next trips so I watched the video just to entertain myself and to know how long the transfer between terminals is and to be able to compare with other airports.

Tren y bus para moverte dentro del aeropuerto de forma gratuita y a tiempo. ESO ES PRIMER MUNDO.
Es un trayecto largo, se agradecen los servicios internos
Este es uno de esos videos que no pueden faltar en la lista viajera, no importa si llegaras a ese aeropuerto o no, el recorrido suele ser asi en todos, largos que parecen interminables y se debe poner atencion a las indicaciones

Es un aeropuerto grande, por lo que es recomendable seguir las indicaciones y, si es posible, investigar un poco la zona antes del viaje.

Do you think is better to have more than 2 hours as a transfer time? I know that depends on how many people are traveling not just the season, so I wonder if I have to make sure to have more minutes there or if is a waste of time
Better safe than sorry, go for more than 2 hours
So your transit time was about and hour, right? I couldn't catch the time when you arrived at security and didn't see lots of people in line. I must have to think that other days are crowded and you need more minutes to make to your gate without and issue
That's right, my transfer took about 60 minutes, I didn't run because I was recording and had enough time to get to the other terminal and there weren't many people.
Thank you for your great video! I will be using that exact route from M to 2G in May. I saw that you went through Border Security check, but did you have to go through another luggage screening station? I am hoping no. Again cannot thank you enough for this walkthrough.

What I barely remember upon arriving at security (only once), is that they asked us to put liquids in resealable bags (the staff advised and provided the bags if required). There weren't many people, it wasn't a long wait.

Plenty of time, no need to rush. Take your time and grab a coffee and croissant if you need them - before taking the airport bus -.

Was the passport/security control done on 2E or just on 2G?
Security was at 2E, it's part of my transfer route (in the video 05:13)

How long did it take to pass thru the security? No passport control?
There's a security filter in the route shown in the video, the time / duration to go through it will depend on how many people have that connection

I think Paris airport is not bad at all, it has lots of seats and plenty space to not feel cramped

Hola, tenemos que ir desde el 2G hasta el 2E, solo tenemos 1h30 entre nuestros dos vuelos, o sea 1h30 para ir del terminal 2G hasta el 2E, estara suficiente ? Llegamos de Luxemburgo para ir a Los Angeles, solo tenemos que hacer el cambio en Paris. Tenemos que pasar la seguridad entre el terminal 2G y 2E ? cuantos tiempos hay que contar en total para ir de 2G a 2E contando la seguridad y todo ? Muchas gracias para tu maravilloso video !

Se pasa seguridad, el tiempo dependerá de la cantidad de gente que requiera la conexión en ese momento, por lo cuál no suele ser igual, en mi caso no fue mucho tiempo, el personal fue amable y nos apoyaron para pasar rápido el filtro (hasta dieron bolsas resellables a quien necesitaba) Mi recorrido fue en aprox. 60 min (en las pantallas del aeropuerto que aparecen en el video puede verificar los minutos que hice entre cada punto tomando en cuenta que fui lento para grabar el video). Buen viaje
Que te pidieron para entrar al pais? Alguien me habia dicho que ya es con visa
Solo presenté el pasaporte. Aun no aplica la solicitud de entrada (Etias), parece que a mediados del 2025 iniciaran con ese proceso.
How long it will take for 2G to 2E - Port K or L? I have only 1.5 hour of transit there. Will it be sufficient includig the border check/security.
Hello, Gganesh. The hour/time appears on the airport screens that appear in the video and with that you can have an idea.
The number of people in the security filter is variable. In my case, 60 minutes for the entire transfer was more than enough.

Both the airport train as well as the airport bus are free of charge to and from the terminals

La sala se ve muy bien, yo creo que no me dormiría por pena ajena pero si me relajaría.

Solo presenté mi pasaporte y fue todo, no me solicitaron algo más que ese documento, el permiso aún no entra en vigor.
Alcanzaré a hacer ese mismo recorrido con una conexión de 1:30 hrs? Más la fila de migración 😢
Depende de la fecha en la que se viaja, en mi caso 60min fue suficiente pero no había mucha gente

Hay personal en diferentes puntos quienes pueden ayudarte y resolver dudas, algunos hablan varios idiomas, escuche algunas palabras en español pero no puedo afirmar que lo hablen.

No recuerdo, quizá entre 70-90mins, pero sin correr (tenia tiempo para relajarme)
Esta larga la caminata! Cuanto tiempo te llevo hacer el recorrido?
Es larga no muy pesada. Mi recorrido fue de unos 60 min

Como cuanto tiempo debe uno caminar, es mucho?
Alrededor de 35-40 minutos, no es una larga y constante caminata ya que subes y bajas escaleras, tomas el bus y tren ademas de pasar por un filtro de seguridad.
Y para esa terminal no hay tren directo de donde estabas?
No, la terminal 2G esta separada y solo se llega a ella por el bus interno o en auto propio (rentado)

La T2G esta separada de las otras y por eso se tiene un trayecto en bus si se usa el medio de transporte interno.

Esta separada de otras terminales, por ello se usa el transporte del aeropuerto cuando se tiene una conexión
Cuanto tiempo recomiendas para una coneccion? He visto que muchos dicen que hora y media esta bien, pero tu video se ve muy largo el trayecto y no me parece suficiente

No tarde mucho, había gente pero no mucha. Supongo que depende de cuantos vuelos lleguen al mismo tiempo y esos pasajeros usen esa ruta

Francés e inglés
Te cobran extra por usar el camioncito a la terminal?
Ese transporte esta dentro del aeropuerto y es parte de los servicios del mismo por lo que es gratis
Y si se descompone el tren como le haces para llegar?
Supongo que el aeroperto tiene un servicio de emergencia listo para esos casos
La terminal 2G es nueva?
No, solo fue remodelada
Fue necesario pasar por tu maletas o las llevan a la 2G?
Yo no pase por mi equipaje facturado o documentado. Verifique con su aerolinea.

Creo que debe ser un sitio atractivo y si los negocios pueden dar una vista distractora en esa espera, su existencia es valida - pero es verdad que muchos puestos estresa más

It looks like a maze, difficult to navigate, but it is not, you just have to follow the signs
