Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) Airport is France's busiest airport and one of the busiest in the world. Home to Air France, the airport has three terminals (Terminal 1, 2, 3) with Terminal 1 and 2 mostly serving full service carriers and Terminal 3 dominated by low-cost carriers. All three alliances - SkyTeam, Oneworld, and Star Alliance - have significant presence at Paris CDG.

@@heleneg525 Relax, travel is for exploring new venues and experiences. That being said, many of those experiences are not in the categories of positive or negative. Travel presents us with problems, problems large and small. EG, OK, I missed my flight - how do I make this work now? Yeah, that can be a large one. It's just a new experience. You learn.
You also learn how to forestall or evade problems. EG, you have a cruise beginning August 5. You do not want to book a flight arriving August 5 in case of flight cancellation, or a connecting flight arriving late and missing the flight to the cruise port and thus the cruise sailing. France, and we will spend 12 nights in Paris before the cruise. We have another cruise beginning in Prague, and we'll arrive there 2 days ahead, coming in from first touring the UK.
In so far as this video of CDG, yes it can be intimidating the first few times. But, there are plenty of signage directing the passengers. Just be careful to read them and you're not just following the herd. The only airport where I had a problem in that area was Frankfurt. There's some 5 train stations in that airport and it is NOT well signed.
Let me add that you should never pass a Departure display without dbl checking your flight! You'd be suprised how often the status changes. that includes the time and especially the Gate.

If you miss the train will it come back again or uf u miss the platform to go terminal E gate M, will the train again come. Is it round robin train and how much time it tskes for second run as lsy over time is insufficidnt.

To transit from 2F/2G to 2E-Gate K, I believe there is no need of of train. If it is 2E-Gate L or M, then train needs to be taken. Am I correct?
this scares me so much LOL I have a trip and a 5 hour lay over with 5 people. One wheel chair and two checked dogs. I will have to transfer when landing, get the dogs, and then do what you did? ohhh it looks scary , but I appercaite the video it helps

TY for your video!! I am booking a flight for my parents from Crete (we are staying longer then them). They are flying back by themselves. They are going from Terminal 2B (SkyExpress from Crete) to 2E (Air France to LAX) and I had no idea until yesterday how big terminal 2. I am concerned that they will get lost and possible miss their flight home. They have 3 hours to get to their Air France flight in Terminal 2E. They will need to take the shuttle train. Any other advice for me to pass on to them?
I think they will be fine. The signs at CDG are clear and straight forward and you have given them enough of a buffer to transit. 3 hours is plenty for CDG.

Hi, I will be flying on Air France from San Francisco to Barcelona this Dec, would like to know how long it took to you “end to end”. Stepping off and getting to boarding gate. I only have one hour 😢
Took me just shy of an hour to get through. But I think SFO-CDG has no early morning arrivals so it can actually be quicker. The biggest bottle necks are the wait times for security and passport control.

Although the airport is huge and there will likely be lots of walking, Schengen to non-Schengen transfer is not difficult. Signs are well posted throughout the airport, just follow them and you'll end up at the right place.
Este video no es para esto. No se entiende nada. Y por muchos tutoriales que leas tampoco. Ellos mismos se dicen a sí mismos ISLA DE FRANCIA.. O sea que lo hacen todo engorroso, inentendible, con miles de tarjetas y tickets, y caros como el demonio.
Si vas sola busca el rossybuss o algun bus de esto que si hay información en internet que te cuesta 12 euros o por ahí pero te deja en el centro de la ciudad, no en el hotel de turno. Si no, taxi, pero el taxi es perfecto cundo van 3 para dividir el costo. Pero si hay que gastar 60 euros en vez de perderse pues se gastan..
Yo buscaba más donde queda más lo del Navigo Semanal, y su oficina en que parte del aeropuerto con decenas de terminales está, pero lo dicho el 90% de videos son inentendibles por mucho video que haya. Hay una oficina en el aeropuerto ya será preguntar y preguntar y hacer km para dar con ella.

Global entry is only for the United States. If memories serves me correct, I do believe there is a separate line for business class and SkyTeam Elite members.
Where is yotel air lounge? How early do I have to leave the lounge to reach my gate? I have 5 hr layover and will be landing and leaving from Terminal 2E.
The Yotel Air Lounge is also in Terminal 2E. Make sure to give yourself lots of time to reach your gate as there can be lots of walking involved!
Now I understand why there are hotels inside the CDG maze!😁

I have a layover in CDG for about 1 hour and ten minutes luckily, it's in the same terminal (Terminal 2) but I better run fast! LOL
CDG 2 isn't a single terminal, it's a collection of multiple terminals that are connected to one another. What matters to know if the connection is short is the letter behind the "2".

I wish I saw this video before we did our trip through CDG. We accidentally followed our fellow passengers to the baggage claim exit, and had to go through the regular and long security line to get back in to catch our connecting flight 😪
Yikes although the transit procedure at CDG is quite complicated compared to some other European hubs

@@ik1460b Depends on how you bought the tickets, if both flight are on the same itienary, then your baggage will transfer on its own

Yes you’ll likely need to take the train to the other part of Terminal 2. 90 minutes is good.
Can I leave the airport if I have transfer flight to the UStates, with an issued shengen visa of course? I’ll have 9 hr lay over and booking a room very close to the airport would be a good idea, but couldn’t find any info if we can leave the port and come back again for a transit flight..

That depends on your final destination. If it is in the Schengen Area, then you'll have to go through Schengen immigration at CDG. If not, then you'll likely not have to.
Is this train from T1 to T3, then T2? Is this train airside or landside?

Haven't personally done such a transfer but if the airline sold it to you, then it should be okay.
Make me so anxious, we are 5 people and only have 1h10 to make the transfer..
70 minutes is tight but if you are on a single ticket, they'll just rebook you to the next flight.

Avoid CDG if you can. There is a reason that this video is necessary - as well as countless others. If you cannot avoid this airport, just move fast - no matter your layover time.

@@nicholasnickhi! my flight was delayed and I only had 1 hour to transfer in the end but it went SUPER smooth for me! I had to get on a small train to get to my gate then went through security but if you know where your gate is the sign will guide you and it will all be fine😁 especially if your arriving at the same gate! I hope you have a good trip:) (I actually don’t remember how long it took but it was really quick🫢)

No, that’s not really a busy time. The transatlantic morning rush will be over by then. You should be fine
@OnTimeReports I'm flying on Air France from ATL to CDG then from CDG to BHX. My layover is 2hrs 15mins and I get to the airport at 7:45am. Is this enough time to get my connection flight at 9:40am?

Its weird that you already go throught security for your first flight, then having to go again for your 2nd fly
Security is necessary again due to different security standards for different countries. It’s not necessary all the time depending on which airport you transit through.

It goes to show you traveling to France, you need to have good pair of legs - starting from the Airport transfer.
Thank you for the video! Transiting through CDG is a complete nightmare, especially when you're in a rush and don't have time for endless confusion. How hard is it to align arrows with text? Who approved the signage in this airport!? You often end up walking the wrong way and only to realise 10 minutes later that you went the wrong way. That sign when you exited the aero-bridge is the perfect example of how confusion and missing your flight starts.

Hopefully your connection is on a single ticket. You’ll be protected if you miss your transfer and be rebooked onto the next flight
