Well, AEW made me fall in love with AEW and wrestling! I watch every minute of A E dub every week, some NJWP, Impact and some sporadic WWE now... plus Cultaholic and Whatculture on the TH-cams
His Hogan comment was fucking beautiful! This guy just does not beat around the bush and I admire that so much about him. What you see is what you get and we need more of that not just in wrestling but in the world.
The forbidden door aspect may make the upcoming AEW video game the best wrestling game in....decades. Just between the AEW roster, legends, New Japan guys, that's a huge roster.
TELL ME THIS WHAT LEGENDS CAN AEW USE IN THEIR BULLSHIT VIDEO GAME!! WWE OWNS JUST ABOUT EVERY COPYRIGHT TO EVERY LEGEND EXCEPT I BELIEVE THE ROCK AND YOU KNOW DAMN WELL THE ROCK WON'T SELL OUT WWE FOR ANY AMOUNT OF MONEY(I HOPE)!!
As far as getting into womens wrestling for the first time, that original TNA knockouts division with Kong and Gail and the beautiful people and ODB ect was the best, AEW's roster has those similar vibes, it ain't just a bunch of magazine swimsuit models like WWE, everyone's different and everyone can talk and wrestle, it's the best womens wrestling in a long time.
There were The Beautiful People, Hamada, Roxie, Sarita, many different styles and stars! Tara and Mickie James in the very first women's cage match mainevent too!

haha I was hoping Phil would speak a little more on this art analogy. Sometimes I finger paint, some times I shoot it with paintballs, sometimes I build sand castles and then paint them.
The thing about the "Man" from each Era is they each had there niches and that works for a wide spectrum of audiences, Hogan slammed Andre, Austin blurred the lines between good and bad, Cena brought back the pg Era, Cm punk lights a pipe bomb, but that's variety and that's what I love about wrestling.
I'd say that The Rock and Hogan also know what that pop is like. IMO. You think Punk's was huge? Go watch the one Austin got when he did the run in the first time Foley won the title against the Rock. Go listen to the ones Hogan and Rock got both on their build to Mania 18, during their match at Mania 18, and the night after Mania 18. Outstanding. Go listen to Trips' return in 2002. Go listen to Daniel Bryan's pop the night he announced that he could wrestle again when he finally started fighting back against Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. Punk's was absolutely on that level. Maybe bigger, but let's not act like it has never happened before.

@@jaredwallace3270 your little smarky indy show wont last
AEW is not the same without this man 💔 we got the young bucks running around like children again and winning gold 🙄
True
29:58 He was probably thinking "shit I can't name Benoit" during that pause.
Agreed
What a great interview. So much respect and so true fans questions. I loved it. First time in this channel. Suscribed and I'll check all the rest videos.
You're a really good host, this was great
I’ve never listened to your podcast before. You’ve got a new subscriber after this. Love your style!
The shaking of the knee🤣🤣 great podcast really enjoyed it!
I've liked watching wrestling here and there (dating back to the Sting in the rafters era). so Stinger being in AEW and Punk coming back - who I really learned to LOVE during his UFC tenure - made me go back, watch some AEW... Well, AEW made me fall in love with AEW and wrestling! I watch every minute of A E dub every week, some NJWP, Impact and some sporadic WWE now... plus Cultaholic and Whatculture on the TH-cams
Great interview!
That would be like some Virtual Pro Wrestling 3 type shit and I love it.
Yes. I just want Minoru Suzuki vs MJF
Being able to do Owen Hart vs Bryan Danielson in a videogame is mind-blowing in the best possible way.
LOOK IN MY EYYYEEEEESS
what do ya see
The cult of personality…

Noice 👍
As far as getting into womens wrestling for the first time, that original TNA knockouts division with Kong and Gail and the beautiful people and ODB ect was the best, AEW's roster has those similar vibes, it ain't just a bunch of magazine swimsuit models like WWE, everyone's different and everyone can talk and wrestle, it's the best womens wrestling in a long time.
There were The Beautiful People, Hamada, Roxie, Sarita, many different styles and stars!
Tara and Mickie James in the very first women's cage match mainevent too!
Didn't have time to watch this one but subscribed
Brandon clearly googled “cool guy beards and haircuts”
Great interview, you have a new fan. 👍
I can't believe he likes that movie. 😁, I thought I was the only person who likes that movie. Never thought I had anything in common with CM Punk, I digress! Carry on wayward soul.
Seriously? You thought you were the only person who likes 'The Thing'? Where the hell have you been? Antarctica?
I’d love to see a special PPV for AEW vs NJPW
I feel like we're gonna see that happen sooner or later once Japan has their Covid-19 protocols in place
Really hope NJPW doesn’t sully their upper-card talent by wrestling AEW’s goofs. Two completely different leagues of wrestler.
@@joshuaDstarks 🤣🤣🤣 what a stupid thing to say, you realize Kenny Omega is with AEW right?
MJF & cm punk in a fued. Forget the matches, could you imagine the promos?
We are starting to see and it's all time promos
He really did everything and had no reason to go back. Wrestled Jericho, Taker (his win would’ve been more shocking than Brock’s imo), Lesnar, HHH, and The Rock. Now he’s grooming the next generation’s wrestlers. A GOAT.
Like the only person I would of watch him wrestle was regins everyone else he already worked
Aged like a fine milk lol
Impressed with Brandon's knowledge.
Great interview same with the american dragon interview, love the interviewer as well, definitely subbed now! Lol
I have been a lifelong wrestling fan and know a fuck load of information, stats, etc. I would love to work on this show somehow
Start your own man, this is TH-cam. Get yours.
Tay Conti, Anna Jay, Johnny Hungy and on and on, potential top stars in AEW and wrestling in general!
Great interview Brandon
JUST SO AWESOME TO SEE HIM HAVING FUN IN WRESTLING AGAIN!!!!!
Aew has the feel of 1980’s NWA. It feels so organic.
Well done for keeping it together sitting with CM Punk.
That wa actually a great video for both
haha I was hoping Phil would speak a little more on this art analogy. Sometimes I finger paint, some times I shoot it with paintballs, sometimes I build sand castles and then paint them.
Okada vs CM Punk one day, im manifesting!
Brandon suddenly gets all articulate to keep up with Phil - dropping big boy words like 'apt', 'profound', 'precipice', 'transcendent' etc.
You forgot 'Contraption' 🤣
LMFAO
I like wwe I pick and choose on matches but AEW is a Great show they get what wrestling is
The thing about the "Man" from each Era is they each had there niches and that works for a wide spectrum of audiences, Hogan slammed Andre, Austin blurred the lines between good and bad, Cena brought back the pg Era, Cm punk lights a pipe bomb, but that's variety and that's what I love about wrestling.
CM Punk said 'the art of wrestling' for so many times.
So maybe..he can going back to 'The Art of Wrestling Podcast' with Colt Cabana baybay !
👏👏
Cm punk was very gracious in this interview
Dun dun dun dun dun Don Don. Dun dun dun dun dun DON DON. Look at my eyes……
Great interview, CM Punk is the best 🙌
