I THINK HUDSON CHARLES WOULD BE WONDERFUL. That way, he would have the family name that he could choose to use if he wished and HUDSON and Hailey go well together. Remember he's not always going to be young and you have to take into account other kids teasing him due to his name. I had girl in my class whose name was Summer Camp...she got teased a lot. Pray about it. God will tell you what to do.

An old rule of thumb was......If the last name was one syllable (Clark) the first name should be a 2 syllable like Hudson Clark. Hailey is a 2 syllable and flows so easily.

I love love the names Crew and Cash but they are both one syllable names so because your last name is a one syllable name, you should choose a two syllable first name so the two names will flow easily off the tongue. Two one syllable names is awkward. Harrison, Holden, or Hudson is adorable with Hailey, but Theodore and Theo for short with Clark is beyond super adorable. Another H name could be Hazen, which I think is great but it's another love it or hate it name. Whatever you choose will be great because you chose it. Best wishes for your cute little family. ❤

I have four sons. Travis Gregory, William Tyler(we call him Tyler or Ty) Robert Treynor(we call him Trey) and James Tanner. If you like Cash but are worried that it’s not strong enough, just make it the middle name and call him that. His first name will hardly ever be used.

I have 3 sons who were all born before doctors started telling parents what the gender was so we had girl and boy names picked out. We pictured our sons as 35 to 40 years old and decided 'cutesie' names were off the table and chose names that would suit a grown up, working, family man. We also chose middle names from men who were important to us and would be important to our son. Henry Travis would be a wonderful name. That being said, anything you name the little feller is going to be amazing since y'all picked it! God bless y'all.

I lost 6 in my first trimester an we tried private adoption but the mom to be decided to keep him. We were going to name him Colton James and call Jim CJ. We had friends who were also pregnant (I'm now 70 ) and many of then would tell me that even though we were planning on a specific name the moment they were born they ended up naming the baby something totally different. Like you said in your video, this will be a lifetime long name. So cherish this time you have to decide on his name. I know how strong your faith is (& both of your families have as well). So I have asked our Heavenly Father to send his Angels to walk by your sides as you are continuing down this VERY special journey. ❤❤🎉❤❤

As a former educator, my tip is to always use the common spelling of a name. If you don't, the child has to spend their entire life correcting the spelling of his/her name.
Very true. My given name is Anndrea and everyone would ask me if I spelled it correctly, or if I meant to put 2 n’s. However my Dad was an English teacher early in his career and now that he has passed I always get to tell people the sweet story of why my Dad thought Andrea should be spelled Anndrea. It is a pleasant way to share his memory.
Agree 100% with the exception of names related to your ethnicity or nationality. Changing them would be the same as just making up a name which misses the point of using names native to you. In saying that we have had issues with Seamus & Caoimhe since we are Irish. The number of spellings and pronunciations has been as comical as its been annoying.
Who cares! If someone else doesn’t know how to spell the name then that’s on them, not their child.

Travis, you probably have “The Adventures of Milo and Otis” buried in your subconscious. It was a really sweet, live-action animal adventure movie for kids. Milo the cat and Otis the dog got lost, and they spend the whole movie trying to get home, dodging all kinds of threats and challenges along the way.
The American version was released in 1989, so it was already an old movie by the time you were born, but I wouldn’t be surprised if your parents showed it to you when you were little. That might be how the name Milo for a cat got stuck in your brain.
You should see if you can find it streaming somewhere. Hailey would love it!

It’s really cool seeing clips/pictures of your grandpa Pastor Charlie Clark 😊 years ago when my parents were on deputation and traveling the country with my sister and I, we spent a weekend at his church. He was such a blessing to us :) we still remember how he took us down to Philadelphia, put us on a horse and carriage and paid for us to have a tour of historical downtown. As a teacher, I wouldn't recommend names like Archie, Milo, Suede, Cash and Cru (I don't know the spelling).
Often, you don't have to wait til adulthood - those kids suffer at school as teens.
I think every parent has the best intentions but sometimes, I think parents just think of a cute baby and forget that the baby will be a teenager and a grown-up.

Dog walker and dog trainer here, the reason they shaved Remi down so far is because her fur was matted and she needs to be brushed frequently… I mean atleast once a day… just letting you know, since you guys seem to like a little bit longer fur on her, but if it is matted, unfortunately it’s dangerous to leave a mat because it pulls the veins closer to the skin so if she were to accidentally get a cut on her skin it could cause her to bleed really really really badly… If you guys maybe ask a groomer what kind of brushes you need to get for Remi in order to keep her from matting, I’m sure they’d be happy to teach you..

I hate to tell ya but you arent the owner of their dog and they didnt say why they shaved her down so far.. they didnt say her hair was matted..just because you are a dog walker and a dog trainer doesnt automatically make you a professional.. especially when its not your dog..

It was always recommended to choose a first name that doesn’t have the same number of syllables as the last name. This makes the first and last name combination more pleasing to the ear and sounds less staccato. Since Clark has 1 syllable then names like Henry, Charles, Theo, Harvey sound more pleasing than Cash or Crew. Classic names never go completely out of style while more trendy names often ‘date’ a person, but ultimately you will choose the name you like best! Happy choosing!
