    I can't believe how calm you were throughout the video, even when you thought you broke your machine. You did make me nervous because I FINALLY read the manual and it said not to use canned air. Oh well, worked for you. Keep up the great videos! You help me get over my fear of doing something wrong. Thanks Allan!

    I noticed you were moving the hand wheel in both directions, it’s very highly recommended that you ONLY turn the hand wheel towards you. If you turn the hand wheel the other way it can mess with your timing.🙂

      The can of air worked fine. My machine is running better than it was when it was new. Thanks for the suggestion though I do have a small vacuum attachment for my wet dry vac that is meant to be used for car detailing. Maybe i should use that. Or is there a small vacuum specifically made for this type of thing? What would you suggest?

      @@adubbproductions I bought mine ("Metro Data Vac PC Personal Cleaner") Years ago from Office Depot; when I was building & repairing computers. The one I have, is Very small; with various attachments, including a brush head. I searched on Amazon a while ago looking to buy another one; but nothing came up. I'm glad the canned air works fine, for You.
      👍🏼😎 I will buy a can & see how it works for Me!

    Wow, your this video helped me to do first time oiling on my brother se600 machine but I think I did something wrong unknowingly while oiling and my auto cutting scissors button is not working. It gives a sound but doesn't cut the threads. Do you have any idea what might be went wrong? Please advice 🙏🏻 🙂 And again thank you for uploading such a helpful video.

    If you are using a can of air. You need to take the shell of completely. You are putting the lint in to the machine where there are other moving parts that have oil or grease on them, and they will attract the lint. you never use air on a machine that you have not opened completely

    • @adubbproductions
      @adubbproductions  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Oh ok. Thanks for the advice. I appreciate it. So odd. I’ve have the machine for over five years now still working excellent just as good if not better than the first day. I guess im lucking up. It started making weird noises and clunking around. I took it apart and cleaned it out and oiled it and it’s good as new.

    Manual says the machine is not to be oiled by the user. Wouldn't want to void the 25-yr warranty

    Too much oil. And don't use compressed air, use a vacuum cleaner with fine tip.

    • @adubbproductions
      @adubbproductions  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the tip. Why not compressed air? It cleared everything right out. A vacuum cleaner with fine tip wouldn’t get all the way in the small crevices. The air blows everything right away. I did use a little to mich oil but i have to say my machine is running better than it did when I first got it. It’s quiet and super smooth now. Night and day.

    • @vernonbice732
      @vernonbice732 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@adubbproductions The compressed air forces particles into the bearings and deeper into the small areas. Your use of compressed air this time probably would not hurt much since it wasn't a full pressure can. I like to use a brush and the little air bulbs for camera lens cleaning if I need to get stuff out of a really tight spot.
      Too much oil does not hurt the machine. The excess oil just attracts more dirt. And oiling should not be a frequent thing unless you are running the machine a lot. Most folks would not need to oil but once a year. More important is to run the machine a little bit every week or so.

    • @vernonbice732
      @vernonbice732 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    You couldn’t post this video last week before I took my two month old SE600 to the shop?!! LOL!! Just kidding!! My machine stopped working last week and it’s driving me nuts not being able to sew for a whole week already!! That stupid piece of thread that broke off finally got the better of the machine and I had to take it in to get it removed. Never buying thread from JoAnn’s again!!

    wondering if the carriage arm is supposed to have slight wobble. if you put your finger where the rubber wheel is on the carriage arm and lift, how far is the lift allowance supposed to be? or is it supposed to be completely stiff and not have any lift? mine lifts a bit, wondering if i'm supposed to tighten it..
    ps - what t-shirt transfers do you personally use for light and dark material? they look great on your intro.

I recently used my machine with a cut away brother stabilizer size 14 ball point needle. Both the designs and the thread are from brother and I did reduce my tension to 2. Do you have any thoughts thanks. I have my machine for 2 years as well.
