    You are such a sweetheart, but I couldn’t help but chuckle a couple of times. Here’s my best tip: read the manual with a highlighter in hand and mark everything important to you. Mark chapters with little sticky flags. It really helped me so I wanted to share it.

      Omg! I started doing that and I love it! I always find myself going back to the sections I highlighted and tab. It makes finding things so much easier . Love the tip! Glad you enjoyed the video! Have fun sewing and Embroidering!

    I have a Babylock Verve...it’s a sister machine of your SE1900. There are not a lot of videos for my machine. I have learned so much from your videos about using my machine. Sometimes the manual just doesn’t do it. I love how you explain things. Keep those videos coming!

    Feet bottom is called the Dogfeed. Also using Thread Oil works great without 'oiling machine. Dab on needle, thread, bobbin & even bottom of foot. 1 or 2 drops does it

    Great video. I will be getting my new 1900 in about a week. I'am watching all your videos. So glad you have done them. They are of tremendous help.
    So glad to see where the button was on the back to drop the feed dog..I think it's called..for free motion embroidery. I have a dumb question. I always thought you had to use the same thread for the bobbin as you did for sewing, at least on a regular sewing machine. Now I'm not so sure. You mentioned bobbin thread here. So when you embroider are you supposed to use regular thread thats different from the embroidery thread? So if you are not using the pre wound bobbins. I would use regular sewing thread to wind my own?
    Thank you very much.

    • @BoricuaSewingCrafts
      @BoricuaSewingCrafts  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Sylviah. I use pre-wound bobbins for my machine and I use the same bobbin for sewing and embroidering. For the thread on top I use Embroidery Thread when doing embroidering and I change it to regular All Purpose Thread when sewing. The color of the bobbin thread, I always use white or black (I buy these pre-wound). If I am embroidering on a towel, because people usually see the back of the towel as well as the front, I will use the same embroidery thread for the bobbin as the one on the top. You are correct about the free motion embroidery. I haven't tired it yet but will in the near future.

    I was cleaning out my SE1900 also and all of a sudden when I put it back together I now hear a scraping sound coming from the bobbin case. I made sure to line it all up and I just can’t see what’s causing that sound. Has this ever happened to you? Thank you for your videos!!

    • @BoricuaSewingCrafts

    Use cotton swabs and toss that brush. Don't forget to remove the metal throat plate and clean under it. Then oil the hook and the feed dog pivots before you replace the plates.

    In the manual it says not to oil the se1900 machine… what exactly are you putting oil on??

    • @BoricuaSewingCrafts
      @BoricuaSewingCrafts  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Emril! Yes. You are correct. The machine does get oil, but this machine's oiling is done when you get it serviced. I was putting a little oil in the bobbin area. The technician told me not to do this. The machine should be serviced on an annual basis. The areas that require to be oiled is under the casing. It doesn't need to be oiled all the time.
