Mayroon din naman talagang original na taga Cebu na gumagawa ng gitara. Ngayon ko lang nalaman na hindi taga Cebu ang Lumanog. Nuon lagi kong naririnig ang lugar na Sta. Mesa Mla kapag bilihan ng gitara, ganun din ang lugar ng Raon, Quiapo dahil din sa Lumanog nuong kabataan ko.
I owned a Lumanog once. Assessment ko, di sia masakit sa daliri. Ok ang tunog nia. Siguro, na outgrown ko lang yung instrument pero I had great time with it.
Great history told but the story is the new generation. There another level the older generation started by the original - Victoriano Bacani not Rufino LUMANOG. But I am grateful for your (author) valuable time in telling our family history. LUMANOG Guitar making made a landmark in Pampanga. I have the original story.
Ngayon ko lang nalaman na madami pla Lumanog, akala ko isa lang nalaman ko lang noon bumili ako ng gitara sa Sta. Mesa... Antonio Lumanog ang nabili ko budget meal lang yung Junior lang pero angganda ng tunog masarap hawakan ramdam ko yung quality.
Did you make this as a project for iAcademy? It's very educational and the footage is pretty high quality too. Edit: I noticed the other comments that are mostly negative. Their guitars are decent but incomparable to the likes of Martin, Gibson, or Taylor. Impeccable tone isn't their main selling point but the fact that their guitars are the least expensive, most accessible, and practical. Their bridges tend to rise slightly over the years, but it doesn't affect the guitar's performance that much. My friends and I own a bunch of their guitars and they've been largely reliable. Some of their competitors in the entry-level space include Global and Davis, but I prefer these Philippine-made Lumanog ones over the former (made by Korea and Singapore, respectively). We had two from Davis once. Neither of them is intact nor with us anymore, unlike my _Lumanogs_ which still work like a charm.
