Tully was supposed to wrestle with Andre the Giant at the 1989 Survivor Series as part of the Heenan Family with Arn Anderson and Haku against The Ultimate Warriors. After Tully's suspension Bobby Heenan took Tully's place on the team.
There’s some guys in the wrestling business that were just shoe-ins as heels, they had a look/demeanor that lent themselves naturally as such…..Tully Blanchard is definitely a textbook version. Whether that’s method acting, genius on the part of a second-generation wrestler or whatever….Tully had “it”.

Ugh…. Bad interview. So the story from Arn is that Tully knocked over the bottle and smashed it. Andre said nothing, didn’t react, but Arn knew this was bad and not the way they wanted to come into wwf. So Arn gave a guy some money to go buy a few replacement bottles. So the guy did and they were given to Andre and that was that . Just showing proper respect to the boss…..
He's as old school as can be. And those guys never felt comfortable telling too much. Look at Pipers shoots. He always considered twice what he would say and what not.

Tully is excellent. Says no Andre' stories then comes up with one of the best ever. GOAT TV Champ, he played that clock like a Stradivarius.

Tully is very careful with his word choices you can see with how many times he touches his face.
He doesn't want to showboat and let the truth get in the way of a good story.

He’s one of those guys who has to fight every instinct he has against telling stories that expose the business.

He often says .. well nothing. I dont fault him for his choices, but maybe chose someone who wants to say something.
Andre shouldn't have made other people drink. He was an alcoholic.
