I’d guess, it’s a safe bet, Ricky saw him on that show and thought to himself wouldn’t it be funny if, and a joke story was born. If it happened I’m sure there’s footage but it’s really random and I believe Tully when he says why in the world would I say his name. He didn’t want blow up Ricky’s spot by saying it didn’t happen so he was nice about it.
I finally found the entire 700 Club segment and uploaded it to TH-cam. You can watch it and see for yourself if Ricky was defamed. There's a good reason that Tully seems shocked to hear about Ricky's claims and has no recollection of it.

This is a great story that Ricky Morton has GREATLY exaggerated over the years. His wife wasn't naive. His marriage was in trouble long before Tully found Jesus. The 700 Club was simply one in a long line of fights that broke up the Morton marriage.
I remember hearing a similar story about Sting. When he found God he confessed to his wife about his previous indiscretions on the road. He also told her Lex Luger had been cheating on the road, too. Stings wife called Lugers wife and the fireworks began. No idea if it is true but it was in the dirt sheets years ago lol.
Watched the whole clip on TH-cam of Tully on the 700 club. He does mention the drugs but never mentions any other wrestlers name including Ricky Morton.
