Mick has serviced my caravan for the last 5 years. As we see here, he's very thorough. I usually stay out of his way and let him work in peace, so it's interesting to see this video, thanks for posting.
Cheers Tony, he’s a lovely chap and we’ve been very happy with the services we’ve had from him! He does still say people have seen him on this video. Thanks for watching, Andy
your best vlog yet and what a star Mick was. this should help so many people to see that a van should be serviced every year and the peace of mind this gives is worth every penny
+ray hodges I think he did really well and so glad we were able to film it! Seems to have gone down pretty well and nice to pick up some tips along the way. Thanks for watching. Andy
Absolutely a cracking film, now I can really see the value of a good & proper service & really appreciate the value of having this done & the peace of mind that must come as a result, thanks Andy & Mick.
Cracking video. We have been vanning for 25 years plus & i picked up tips. The tow hitch lift & the thermo-couple. Hope you get the damp sorted OK, Regards Nick
Cheers Nick! Much appreciated. I’ve got to ask, did you find this vid through a TH-cam search or related video? I only ask as I posted a link to this on Mick’s FaceBook page lastnight. Damp - more on that in a few weeks time. Cheers for watching. Andy
+CJ Hatton without doubt this highlights he importance of a service. I had to cut out about another 15 mins worth of footage which included testing of the rcd’s - so useful. At least we know of a problem as opposed to being blissfully unaware. Thanks for watching. Andy
Fantastic - some great tips there as well. We were in France in June and the fridge really struggled on the electric - if only we'd thought about the gas option! Respect to Mick - he deserves lots of referrals for this!
+Alan Hind thank you. Yes I picked up so much too and will now be using our appliances on gas more often too! Especially if we go to France next year :) I really hope there are some viewers from around here and he’s able to pick up some business. He’s a natural. Thanks for watching. Andy
Hi Andy, Just to let you know we have since used Mick to carry out a service on our caravan, following on from your informative vlog and recommendation. What a great chap, very friendly and professional and took time to explain exactly what he was doing throughout the service where I learnt a lot. Thanks so much and keep up the good work. Cheers, Steve
Brilliant video. Mick seems like a top bloke - someone who is prepared to be on camera showing what he does to help remove some of the mystery of the serviceman at work. Some great advice in there too! Hope you get the damp issue sorted. It would be great to see a vid of that repair if possible - as long as you don't leave Kate in charge of the camera (ha ha).
Adrian Brear thanks Adrian, I’m really pleased how it all turned out. Having never filmed anyone outside of our family before I was a bit nervous about it. Glad you enjoyed it and hoping to get the damp sorted soon! Will of course make sure we film it. Ha Kate needs to up her game, I’ve told her of course!! :)Thanks for watching, Andy.
What a brilliant vlog. Have picked up many tips that I didn’t know before. Hope you follow this up with a follow up on how you sort out your damp issues. Such an informative vlog. Well done. Look forward to your next vlog.
+Keith Davies cheers Keith. Glad you enjoyed and learnt a few things, we did too! Yes will make sure we follow up on the damp and hopeful fix. Thanks for watching. Andy
Hi Andy, Mick came round today to service our caravan. Top bloke, superb work. totally recommend MD Mobile Caravan Service. But give fair notice this guy is very busy. ( I won`t tell you what he said about you!! lol
Sorry to hear about your damp issue, but at least you have caught it early. Hope you can get it sorted easily. Thanks for this very informative vid, excellent work as always.
+Ann Brooks ahhh it will be alright Ann :) (I hope). Should make for a good repair vid too. I guess the one thing I wanted to get over is that it’s not the end of the world.... Just a problem that can be put right. I’m really pleased how it turned out! Andy
Never knew about the fridge getting colder more quickly on gas, it's always a pain having to wait ages for it to get cold after arrival. Thanks for this video.
No problem Tom, it’s been a great insight for us and glad that it has helped you. It’s also better to use on Gas if the weather is very warm (hopefully like we’ll have during our summer holiday). Thanks for watching. Andy
That was very informative and helpful. I don't get too hung up on a bit of damp either. We bought our first motorhome on a knockdown price because it had a known leak in the bathroom. Once I got it home, I spend a couple of days removing all the metal awning rails, cleaned everything up and then re-sealed with sikaflex and re-fitted them. The damp soon dried out never had another problem.
+A Shropshire Lad thanks very much. Blown away by the response off the back of this. Really glad I asked Mick if we could film him. About the damp, I’m in two minds whether to have a go at it myself depends on how soon I can get it looked out elsewhere and price of course! Thanks for watching. Andy
+lost weekends hi Phil and Juliet, thanks for watching and commenting. I’m not worrying too much about it, I think a fix shouldn’t be too much hassle/effort/money! But of course I could be wrong 😜. Thanks, Andy
I used Mick to service our van well just to service gas and electrics I already done brakes and replaced one shot nut myself and talked up to 280nm we only live round corner from him but found him through yourself lol thanks
+lensman2online it’s satisfying to know absolutely everything has been checked and is working as it should. I picked up a lot of tips along the way. Thanks for watching. Andy
Superb Andy - for once we hear of a decent workman! We always hear of the bad stories so nice to hear of a good 'in for a change. Keep up the good work :)
That was excellent Andy and very informative. Mick seems like a sound guy who takes pride in his work. Hope you get the damp problem sorted asap and it's not too big a job. I am Sooooo disappointed in camera woman Kate though.....😜😂😂 Only kidding Kate. These things happen ma dear. 😉 It's another goodyin Andy. Here they come.....👍👍👍 atb Andy.
+Andy sm Gray cheers Andy! Yes I think we’ve landed on our feet to have such a great local service engineer. Hoping to get the damp issue resolved shortly, will be sure to try and cover that as much as we can. Thanks for watching. Andy
Good video; we always have ours done by a mobile so it's interesting to see. Top tip on lighting the hob first if you're going all gas though; our fridge is often a bugger to light so I'll be trying that
+Andy cheers Andy. I like the convenience of having someone come to your house and do it. I do the same if we need tyres on the cars too. We don’t use our appliances on gas often enough but now I know we should do I’ll make sure they get lit every time we’re out. Thanks for watching. Andy
Thanks for sharing the service with us. Top tip with lighting the hob first. The fridge on our Coachman didn't work on gas but I'll try it on our Lunar. The damp problem is a bit of a bummer but it looks like you caught it early. Do you use dehumidifiers in your caravan when it is not in use? I use the UniBond one. You can find them in ASDA but they're a bit cheaper in B&M.
+Parknest no problem. It was good to share and get some feedback. Yes it’s a nuisance and got to get something sorted out but it’s not the end of the world! We do use dehumidifiers, I’ve just bought two “rechargeable” types and keen to see how they work! Thanks for the tip. Andy

Great informative video keep it up

Not yet.... it’s Work in progress but will be done sealed soon (I hope). Andy

Thanks for watching Gaëtan 👍
Great vlog, how far north will your man travel.....(widnes)
+Andrew Ormondroyd hi Andrew, I’m not sure. Drop him a message through FB or his number is on the website. Thanks for watching. Andy
Unless there is a degree in caravans then he is technician.
😎👍🏻👍🏻
Shadowz Shadowz thanks buddy!
This caravan engineer is useless!!!
About half of all necessary tests (inspections) has been missed.
