I was speaking in a more general aspect; as it applies to this situation, where Kodak can clearly tell they are only trying to press him about his controversies. He is "woke" in the fact that he knows EBro will not let it go and asks him to change the subject. Paul and the other lady try to change the subject but Kodak can tell it is disingenuous and EBro realizes that Kodak realizes this and continues to press him. If you want to call that self awareness, 'woke', whatever you want to call it; that's fine. Self awareness and overall awareness(being observant) of your surroundings plays into the most basic of characteristics that contribute to being 'woke.'
Also, being woke means to recognize multiple perspectives, outcomes and theories for any given situation and being able to form your own belief.

I completely understand why MGK feels that way, his music is great, he can rap his ass off, has a variety of sounds, he actually is a rockstar AND a rapper, yet there are still those haters who hate for no reason. In my honest opinion, been a fan of his since 2012, this decade, Him, g-eazy, and mac have had the best music on any other white rappers. To me they offer so much more variety, production, personality, and musical quality than eminem. MGK is already respected by legendary artists and rappers, signed by Diddy (same label as Biggy, keep that in mind). If his next album is great, it will be the next step he needs to solidify a spot as a g.o.a.t.
