Brenda, I’ve said this before but you running around to film Jim is got to be tiring and yet you do such a good job making your best effort to get close shots and even popping questions at your husband. Thank you
Jim, you should red flag that load when on the road!
Brenda deserves a videography award!😊
I've said before, Brenda probably has the legs of a marathon runner.
Brenda, you are certainly one of the hardest workers in these videos. I'm not sure if you use your bicycle much during your video shots, but I KNOW you do a lot of walking and jogging during these episodes. You must definitely sleep well at night with all that exercise !! Jim, too. That's a very physically demanding job you guys have each day !! God Bless you both in your daily activities 🙏 I've gotta say the woods are looking truly spectacular this time of year. All the colours are simply gorgeous !!
Watching Jim work should make most of us realize how out of shape we are! I know it does me!
I'm so jealous of his lifestyle. I couldn't do it, but I wish I could......
Brenda is the “woman behind the scenes.” Great job and really appreciated.
Cooperation between Jim and the horses functions like a well-oiled machine .
This man 's work ethic is truly great to see and learn !!!. He plns his moves and next move by experience - lessons learned. One must be so careful when working remote - alone. KEEPON LOGGIN!!!!
Love seeing the transformation of Baron and how he works and pulls so hard now. Shows how he is a strong and well trained horse because of Jim's process of training horses and working with Bill
Just wondering, what brand of chainsaw does Jim favor. I once got a used chainsaw for $20 for the farm. Husband uses 3 brands and we’ve been lucky that they all still work!
Perfect harmony between Jim and the team what a joy to get to watch.
Extremely good how Jim handles the horses. my highest respect
You two make a great --with your horses too!!! My Uncle Bill from my mom’s side of the family had a barn full of Belgians-/-and worked his fields with old-fashioned equipment and tools. We always loved his winter sleigh rides!!! I miss him. We lost him in the fall. 🥰🎶❤️🇨🇦
The photographer is doing a great job as always! One of the best videos yet!
These last 2 vids are just the best ever!
Baron is some horse, he works so gamely, that job today was a real pipe opener, they were both blowing pretty hard, and Baron literally still prancing to the unhook point. He might grow an inch or two in his 5th year, almost as big as Bill now. Bill's got a big walk, Baron feels he's gotta prance to keep up. I would love to see them stepping together, they do a bit, but Bill has the longer stride. Maybe next year. Bit more roadwork, I would trot out about 5 km, then insist he walked every step of the way home, our old Snowy River mountain men from Jindabyne (Aus) reckon that's when they learn to really walk.
Brenda, you did it again! You have so much energy! Thank you, fantastic work.
Another great video. I like the way Baron gets down and gets it when under load. You've made a good horse out of him. Bill and Ken always seem patient with the youngster.
You and Brenda definately get your exercise! I heard her running at one point.
You all be careful. Always your videos
You said once that horses have to learn how to pull. Baron is pulling at his best and still keeping up with Bill.
Just amazing how calm those horses are around machinery. All those stumps make things difficult for everyone. Be safe both of you. God Bless
And safety and wellbeing of the animals.
BRENDA YOU MAKE ALL THE DIFFERENCE IN PRESENTING WORKING HORSES 🐎 WITH JIM!!!🎉❤...😊
Baron is so impressive, a good investment in terms of the initial price paid and time spent training him. He really does a good days work.
I'm not sure who worked harder, Jim, the horses or the fantastic camera work by Brenda! My day is now complete and I will drift off with the thump of those hooves playing in my mind.
This was a great video and I enjoyed it very much. Brenda your camera work was superb and I think you worked as hard as Jim and those horses. What a great team you all make together. Those incredible horses deserve a good rub down and some nice fresh hay.
Coming out of the woods I could tell Baron and Bill were listening every word to Jim telling them steady with that downhill slope. (I was braking for them, but they didnt know it of course!😘) They were tired boys by the time they got home. Does Baron have his winter shoes on yet? Pretty sure Billy does. Those fallen leaves looked might slippery coming out loaded down. Sounded very windy there.
Barron has come a long way in his logging. He has started showing his true potential as a gentle giant
Another beautiful peaceful video we all enjoy. Just seeing the colorful leaves in the Forest and watching those huge trees fall down and the power off those gorgeous horses… of course let’s not forget The lady behind the camera who is doing a great job. Send more like this out that’s the way w this out very relaxing thank you!!!
From someone who’s had some experience running a chainsaw, Jim makes it look so easy and it is not. Always anxious for the next video to be posted.thanks
Brenda I know Jim does all the "work" but you're a rockstar filming it. I like Jim too
Jim you are a real master at working horses 🐎 with Jim. The way you have your horses move around the logging area. Alex Jersey City NJ . And Brenda you are doing a great job with the video. Keep up the amazing job to both of you.
Thank you Jim and Brenda. You two are the best team
❤❤ .
It is like Barron has done this loging for years , voice commands and pulling
Very impressive Jim the way you handle large trees. Baron has made you a great draft horse. Bill Is solid as can be. Brenda thanks for your effort for the filming..great job. Really enjoyed this video.
Hi Jim, Brenda, Another great video in the beautiful woods with the Gentle Giants!, Again thanks for taking me along! Brenda, you do Great Video's! Jim, Nova Scotia, Canada.
Love your videos and enjoy watching them. May the lord bless and protect Jim and the horses logging
Unbelievable how Jim has his horses under control. !!!Well done.
I agree another great video. Good job Brenda. Baron is really coming along. Even when I see him slip a little he doesn’t get terrified or anything.
What an enjoyable video of the two of you and your working horses in your GORGEOUS woods!!! 🥰🎶❤️🇨🇦🐴🐴
Great to watch Jim just doing what he does. Baron has come a long way. Thanks to you all
Jim and the boys surely earned their oats on this day! 🙂
Fun to watch the horses work getting the logs !! You have them trained so well !! Nice job Jim ! Show them you appreciate them with a treat !! They work hard !!!
I am amazed at the power of those beautiful , and the skill it take to manage them. They certainly earn their keep.
Great job on the camera Brenda. Those big magnificent animals just lay into the collars and git er done. Ya gotta love it❤👍👍
Thanks again for for all of your hard work
to share these videos with us Brenda. Jim I have worked in the woods cutting down my own firewood so I know how hard it is to to do even with skidsteer and excavator with the thumb on it. It's work any way you look at it. Your horses work great I love to watch them work and listen for your commands they make it look easy. Please stay safe and God bless you you all.
At 18:27 Jim is a master at logging. Its like watching a ballet. Blessings to you and Brenda
Great show today guys. Showed us what great balance Jim has going over the stumps. I even jumped a stump for him. 😂😂
You cut that baby off at the ankle. I always enjoy watching Big Jim work and he makes it look easy and we know it’s not. Always watching from Panama City Florida, USA. 🇺🇸🦅 No Snow Just Breeze !
Great video, I will be watching this one again. Thanks Jim, for showing me/us you slashing that big pine. (Limbing), I learned a lot from watching that, little things over and over again, if you watch the details, you see things like tapping the bar on the log to stop the chain b4 stepping over the log, years of experience running a saw. Please continue to operate safe and clear mind and I the same. Love your falling technique, and your back cut. (Last cut). Also, I noticed you like to use the top of your chain, or top of your bar alot, I find that works nice and one has a lot of leverage (power!, move a lot of chips, good bit!) and can optimize the cut resulting in a faster cut, I know some outfits do not like it and frown on their operators using it but I find it very powerful when used properly as you do. Nice job, nice efficient work, your yrs of experience shows. The horses are conditioning well, Baron continues to impress us/me. He is getting his footing figured out nicely, impressive.., way to go Baron.. Owe, back by the sand pit, Love it.., nice load. (In Wisconsin working some nice Red Oak,, so nice..Thinking of you guys, as I work... Hello to all) , How is your corn drying? Get it b4 the animals do. I know you got it...ah ha, Thank you.
Ps; your saw is running great, cutting awesome, love that 4 stroke bark.
:-)
I was happy happy to see that it was a long video more horses. YES!!
this video was so good, one of our favorites, super way to get logs out and handle, work, and treat the horses,,they did great,.your parents would be very proud today and nice photo shots and hussle Brenda..keeping slim !😅❤❤
Great video nothing better than being in the bush with horses
My Uncle Bill used to take his horses to the agricultural fairs and compete in the horse pulls. 🥰🎶 🐴 🐴 🇨🇦
I spent 18 years limbing out white pines.
I enjoyed the work, especially on level ground
I feel like a fly on the wall! I love these no talking videos. Feels like I’m there❤❤❤great filming too Brenda. Always interesting angles.
Liking the segments were there is conversation.
Brenda it seems like you are the hardest working one on the crew, at least the best runner trying to keep up and ahead of the horses and the load.
Thanks for the beautiful photos. Greetings from Germany 😎👍
Thanks again for a great video. I so much enjoy the "no talk": ones. I will see both parts 1 and 2 again . They make me feel like I am actually there. Good camera work too. Good job!
Love all the different angles and the sounds of the woods!!! Blessings

Again, thanks and well done!
The first five years of my schooling was in a one room country school. In the fall when we walked through the timber to school there was a certain smell and watching this video brought back those memories and smells. I was raised on the farm and really enjoy all of your videos.
Brenda you are a hard worker and Jim is a hard working too.
Great job you two!!!
I much prefer videos of Jim explaining the nuances of working draft horses.

Another great video Jim and Brenda, great camera work, Brenda. Jim, i was wondering,? have you ever had a load get away from the team going down a steep grade or hill? and if so what was the outcome? thanks for sharing. ECF
It WAS quiet, until that guy in the orange hat started the orange thing in his hands. Then the stillness was shattered. 😁
I have to say, a tree falling makes a much bigger "whoosh" and thud than the videos can pick up. Love the silent videos, but you know I would have a hard time not talking...LOL 😂😂
Cindy . Question If a tree falls in the forest and no one is there to hear it, does it make a sound? Answer ( no) nobody heard it .Gosh W H W J is fun .😊
WOW 👍👍 Jim...you the man⛓️🧰🔨✂️🌳🍃
Does the Horses get tired? They are beautiful. Wow,
Very Nice from Québec Canada
Jacket and the chainsaw was left in the forrest. You have much more colours in the woods we just had our first frosty nights- thats in scandinavia. Gby
