    6 year old install but I did watch you video to see how easy or difficult to install snorkle sense hummer no longer being made and arb dose not make this snorkle anymore, I bought a after market one easy to install no instructions comes with snorkle the only difficult part is install the part that gose to breather it dose not fit perfectly I had to use my Dremel tool to grind down se plastic and heat it up to soften the plastic a real pain in the ass I own a 09 h3t hummer truck I wasn't sure if I wanted to drill in to my A pillar but I did it anyway I'm happy I decided to go ahead and install snorkle I would have love to see how you mated the plastic to the breather I am sure you had issues to

    Hi, from Tijuana Mex.
    Do you still have the H3t alpha with the super charger?
    nice truck.
    Can you upload a video of how does it runs?

    Awesome video! Thanks brother. I’m about to do the install myself, but I was wondering if you could tell me what size bit you used to make the big hole for where the snorkel goes into the fender?

    Ancient video but a supercharged 5.3? what mods do you have on your drivetrain? I'm in the middle of swapping a 6.2l and a 6l80e in, I heard some bad things about higher powers on the drivetrain so I was discouraged from throwing in a little bit more power

    • @ministryofadventure
      @ministryofadventure  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Honestly, not a whole lot of mods to the drivetrain. Since my truck is an Alpha it already had the the cast iron front diff with 4.10 gearing, I left the gearing alone thinking the 4.56's would just amplify the problem (but would be more suitable gearing with the 37's). I swapped out all the front diff bushings with polyurethane ones for less movement.
      I broke a bunch of aftermarket CV's so I went back to using OEM and haven't broken one since.

      @@ministryofadventure Interesting, I plan on doing a 1" body lift and maybe a 1" suspension lift and will probably do a 1" diff drop while I'm at it, not sure what to do for the rear suspension lift the previous owner installed air bags. I plan on running around 450hp or so, I'm not sure how much power you make

    It would help if you would give important information, such as size of the drill bit used. The package bizarrely doesn't come with such information.

      Magnuson discontinued the kits for the H3 Alpha's quite a few years ago, however there was a guy who pieced one together from a Magnuson kit for a v8 Colorado kit, however, I am not sure if those are still being produced either.

    • @ministryofadventure
      @ministryofadventure  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It would be best to check with the company you order from. I cannot recall clearly if it's the 3.5L or the 3.7L model that is more difficult to fit due to a design change on the airbox. You can also search on hummer4x4offroad.com as I know this topic has been covered off there before

    I have an H3T alpha. Where did you find the snorkel? I can only find kits for the 5 cyl?

    • @ministryofadventure
      @ministryofadventure  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Since you have an Alpha the kits offered will work with your airbox. The real problem is when you have an 3.5L 5 cylinder. The airbox inlet is different and some modification is required to make it work. hummer4x4offroad.com has some great posts about these issues if you would like to dive in deeper

    Late to the party, but where did the hole come from in the engine compartment. All I see is you boring a hole into the fender, and removing the airbox.

    • @ministryofadventure
      @ministryofadventure  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Cameron Garcia from the factory the air box already pulls air through a hole in the fender, so no need to add any more holes then what shown. There is a connector that is square on one side of the connector and round on the other side and that is the piece that adapts the air box to fit the snorkel.
      Hope this helps!

    PLEASE SOMEONE TELL ME THE HOLE SAW SIZE!! LOL

    • @ministryofadventure
      @ministryofadventure  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I no longer have the paper template that came with the kit, and don’t have an easy way to measure the hole on the truck. I would suggest measuring the size of the snorkel part that passes through the fender and then a pick a hole saw that is slightly bigger, but make sure you do not go too big

    • @ministryofadventure
      @ministryofadventure  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I just looked up the instructions for the ARB Snorkel kit and it calls for a 98mm hole saw

    The question is why? The rest of the vehicle isn’t watertight unlike the Mercedes G-wagon.

    • @drjhunter
      @drjhunter 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Don Genio the snorkel isn’t just for preventing water intake , it’s main function is to get cleaner air to motor such as driving on a dusty road especially with using a prefilter . Look up the AEV snorkel made for the Colorado - they say the same thing
