i literally cried when she said that every night for a year or two she would read the medical files to see if there was something different that could have been done so that he could be saved. She loved him truly and sounds like he also loved her as much its really heartbreaking for the family. Irrfan was a wonderful actor, i saw him in life of pi, Jurassic world and so many countless movies. His personality was also brilliant saw his interview on the kapil show also his sense of humor was awesome such a wonderful person RIP
If you meet someone who has lost a loved one, this stands true for all of them. I can relate to this completely.
I read medical records again and again of my grandfather when he died of lymphoma, when truly luv a person you want to do everything possible to save them even when it’s not in our hands
Yeah, we are still naive to think we could have stirred the course. In fact, I feel that when the time has come, we help clear the path too, sadly.

I feel no one can beat Irfan khan in acting. He brought all the emotions to the character.
He is my all time favourite. I never cried so much on any celebrity's demise. I always felt he is one of us and his eyes.... Naughty eyes, angry eyes, compassionate eyes etc. Irrfan sir I miss you totally.
This is an interview which treads the path of grief with so much love and dignity. Having lost three family members to cancer within a span of few months, the journey of grief is completely relatable just like her love life as well.Saw Sutapa and Irrfan back in mid 90’s sometime in front of Jadavpur university looking for a cab. Unassuming and humble back then too.Sutapa’s raw yet mature emotion has been beautifully captured in the interview by Nayan thorough his empathy and intelligence.Keep up the good work Nayan, you are much better at your job than many who have much more experience and age on their side than you do.

Since sir passed, I haven’t watched anything involving him…. His passing among others in 2020 was the most painful to accept. I am so happy I stop to watch her to hear their story, the interview was handle with care.

But for irrfan, I kept revisiting his movies again and again, even the hidden gems like Qissa because that helps me to celebrate what an artist he was and death can never end art. Such a wonderful interview. Totally agree when Sutapa says that she as a soul was destined to meet this wonderful Soul called Irfan. We were lucky & blessed to be staying in the same block as Sikdars & have him visit our Saraswati puja whenever he was in Delhi. Sutapa is honest to the core & no-one except her could be the best care giver.

The hardest part is from the day after in the months to come to go through the lonely, yoyo grieving process and accepting this life is over with them...

Wonderful to know a little bit about the strong woman in Irrfan's life. Their smiles resemble each other. Her particular smile with a titled head reminded me of Irrfan. Gone too soon.
I'm not a Bollywood fan, not even an Indian, but I'm crying. I watched every possible Irrfan Khan movie from Namesake to Lunch Box to Life of Pie. Irrfan, you are beautiful and you are my favorite actor. You left too early.

This was touching. My family has also been devastated by cancer. My father, two uncles, both grandfathers, cousins, cancer runs in my family. I have never even seen Sutapa ma’am speaking and my god she is extremely charming. I hope their son takes Irrfan sir’s legacy forward. Gone too soon. He was a powerhouse of raw talent.

I always have mixed feelings when I watch Nayan’s interviews, coz his questions are very good but I hate that he sweet talks every celeb he meets. But this interview he hit it out of the park. This is one interview I loved. I am also going through a very tough period- lost my parents and my only brother. I am struggling to overcome the grief and come to terms with the situation. I too keep looking at their reports and wondering what went wrong. I sometimes feel, our scientists should do more research and help Doctors to cure patients and not just treat patients.

That's unbearable grief you are going through, may God bless you with strength to bear it. I lost my father to cancer a month back, and it's excruciating grief. The way he fought with cancer went through unimaginable trauma and finally lost it, it's heartbreaking.
