I agree, with Irfan, introspection is important, and everything in Islam has some reason and logic behind. and Irfan has never said anything wrong which Islam doent allow. In bakri Eid, The purpose is to sacrifice the most loved thing so that in real life we would be able to sacrifice for Islam, and for over loved ones, which decrease's the hate, jealousness and other evil emotions. That's why what we sacrifice , we should be in love with that and we should feel that pain at time scarification . hence buying a animal just one or two day before Eid may not fullfill the purpose that's why one has to raise the animal for few month or years altogether to get emotionally involved. (in very minute cases Kurbani purchased just before few days of eid can be valid if Niyat and emotions are firm, and its upto allah only that would be accepted or not as we are no one to judge.Regarding Roza (fasting) He said right .. That fasting is about self control on evil thoughts and acts apart from fasting over food only. Yes introspection is allowed in Islam and is must to get answers of everything in life. Islam is not to practice rituals without knowing the reasons. May allah give all human kind a sense of "Sacrifice" like we do, like our parents do for their kids, like beloved ones do for us, like we do for whom we love. and wish allah bestow the courage of "self control" by which we may control our evil urges in our society . Those "rules" are mostly archaic and have no place in modern society. Those rules are not even clear. The same quran can be interpreted in a very aggressive form or in a more moderate form. The very fact that there are countless number of interpretations means you need common sense. Unfortunately the community is filled with people who refuse to reform their religion based on modern understanding and instead try to find excuses to justify it.

I agree, with Irfan, introspection is important, and everything in Islam has some reason and logic behind. and Irfan has never said anything wrong which Islam doent allow. In bakri Eid, The purpose is to sacrifice the most loved thing so that in real life we would be able to sacrifice for Islam, and for over loved ones, which decrease's the hate, jealousness and other evil emotions. That's why what we sacrifice , we should be in love with that and we should feel that pain at time scarification . hence buying a animal just one or two day before Eid may not fullfill the purpose that's why one has to raise the animal for few month or years altogether to get emotionally involved. (in very minute cases Kurbani purchased just before few days of eid can be valid if Niyat and emotions are firm, and its upto allah only that would be accepted or not as we are no one to judge.Regarding Roza (fasting) He said right .. That fasting is about self control on evil thoughts and acts apart from fasting over food only. Yes introspection is allowed in Islam and is must to get answers of everything in life. Islam is not to practice rituals without knowing the reasons. May allah give all human kind a sense of "Sacrifice" like we do, like our parents do for their kids, like beloved ones do for us, like we do for whom we love. and wish allah bestow the courage of "self control" by which we may control our evil urges in our society . I support Irfan 100%.

Those "rules" are mostly archaic and have no place in modern society. Those rules are not even clear. The same quran can be interpreted in a very aggressive form or in a more moderate form. The very fact that there are countless number of interpretations means you need common sense.
Unfortunately the community is filled with people who refuse to reform their religion based on modern understanding and instead try to find excuses to justify it.
