Make a video where you have to set you and your opponents kit to exactly the same colour (e.g. Dortmund and Dortmund II kits) and win a fut champs game
I had the jabulani when I was kid and honestly loved it, though I was always playing football on concrete and some randoms garage door as the goal.. was my favourite ball I had
1:57 speaking as a collector, just having the chance of nabbing a prototype shirt by whatever means is like striking gold, only comparable to getting a player worn shirt straight from the player. The shirt itself could have worked better as a third shirt than the actual dark gray/green final product, albeit with some changes (retaining the gold stripes, Adidas logo and sponsor but the stripes' paneling being left black rather than red; and the cuffs being white rather than gold).
With the Jabulani I think it's intentional as people are still talking about the ball to this day so I think it was more a marketing tactic in a way imo
@(-Ello-) it can be hard for non english speakers to write a name like Kierans, please consider that next time you wanna correct someone for such a small mistake, it was perfectly understandable
If i remember correctly, the Jabulani wasn't really behaving weirdly. It was actually behaving like an actuall ball. Because of its nearly perfect spherical shape it didn't have grooves that acted as aerodynamic components so the ball just went as it felt
They did! I remember the marketing from the time (I’m slightly autistic, I remember things like this), they said it moved more than any other ball ever made. They just forgot to check with the players that was what they wanted, lol.
My place's football culture is not that good so much so that official matches would often have both teams bring their own balls and the referee would choose which ones to use. One time while picking which ones to use one of the referees jokingly said "I hope you don't have any jabulanis". I didn't know it at the time, not really following the international scene but looking back I didn't realise the whole debaucle was that serious.
Adidas wanted some amazing goals, they wanted the world cup in Africa to be amazing, so the ball would become legendary and more people would buy it. That's what I believe at least
Haha so that was you who bought the jabulani?!? Had it on my watchlist forever!! Even thought about buying it myself at one point! Ended up purchasing the actual jabulani, but good to see that this version ended up in your possession!
reason why was probably time, they probably didnt test or realise they had to make significant design changes til too late. like they technically made the ball 'to spec' but it had flaws that they simply either didnt care about or more probably didnt have the time or money to fix
This is me watching a video of yours after a year or so, mann it feels very different haha.. Great video, still very entertaining.. Hope you're doing well!
I am pretty sure that in the world cup when the Jabulani was released, there weren't many goals and the games were very boring, so Adidas made a new ball (the Jabulani) that brought many more interesting games and more goals
Love you Kieran I’m a American boy hoping to one day play on the national team even if it’s just one of these videos you make me want to go outside and work love you bro!
I don't know the specific reason why those Nike boot are only concept boots, but at least in other industries, concept products are often used to showcase new technologies and what would be possible from a purely technological standpoint. However, if you do consider other factors, like the prices these companies would have to charge to make it a profitable product, it often becomes very clear that those concepts would utterly fail on the open market. So usually the main reasons for concept products are just to get publicity and to get a feeling if some of the new technologies used in the concept are worth to pursue any further to try to make it economically feasible. So maybe Nike is currently not able to mass produce these boots at a price point at which they could sell them as a profitable product. I mean they might be amazing, but if they would have to sell them at a multitude of the price of comparable boots, Nike just wouldn't make any profit with them
The Dutch thing will be because adidas manufacture all the bespoke stuff there. I ordered customised trainers from them and they were made and shipped from the Netherlands.
Try testing their zx750 trainers iv purchased two pairs this year both going back the quality has gone, have you ever tried contacting customer service in the uk ! It’s impossible .
If you want to find out more about the Jabulani’s development, contact Professor Andy Harland at Loughborough University. He developed it. He’s a really nice bloke and might even do an interview with you about it.
i think adidas is pretty good cuz all my football hit and my football boots are from adidas and i find them comfy but then again its your opinion or its your foot. what sports wear do you wear?
This test should answer a lot of questions...
Yep
Yes
Yeah
No
Yeah
keiran is my favourite sidemen
fut crunch holy shit make a video in fifa you have to make gulit gang team only
Hey futcrunch
Make a video where you have to set you and your opponents kit to exactly the same colour (e.g. Dortmund and Dortmund II kits) and win a fut champs game
bro has fut crunch been hacked or is this an inside joke wtf
@@saianirudhanbuchezhian6572 You are so funny.
No, you’re not
jabulani was the anti goalkeeper meta... they were too overpowered that season (Casillas, Buffon, Neuer, Stekelenberg, Julio Cesar, etc.)
Fr
Just bad design tbh
Season? It’s a World Cup ball lol
@@jayyoudeeee9096 when o say season I mean that year entirely, not just the WC. Don't be a smartass, its cringe
@@jayyoudeeee9096 The goalkeepers were too overpowered that season.

exact same man, sucks I left it in another country and my family gave it away to a kid who couldnt have a ball
From high school memory it was the fastest way to destroy a ball to play on concrete.

Honestly I think the jabulani was an incredible ball. I’m glad they stuck with it. Made for some absolutely spectacular goals that year
With the Jabulani I think it's intentional as people are still talking about the ball to this day so I think it was more a marketing tactic in a way imo
Yeah they probably also wanted more goals in the World Cup and the jabulani definitely helped that
@@lucassamuelson7392 not to mention the long shots. I was rewatching goals from the 2010 WC, they still amaze the masses
Can we all agree that kieriean never disappoints us when he comes up with a new vid
His name is Kieran, not kieriean.
שכ
Ok sorry
@(-Ello-) it can be hard for non english speakers to write a name like Kierans, please consider that next time you wanna correct someone for such a small mistake, it was perfectly understandable
@Memo gose crazy dont mind him, it was clear what you meant!
I think we could use another jabulani-esque ball. 99%skill 1% wow
If i remember correctly, the Jabulani wasn't really behaving weirdly. It was actually behaving like an actuall ball. Because of its nearly perfect spherical shape it didn't have grooves that acted as aerodynamic components so the ball just went as it felt
Also the ball enters its turbulent velocity at lower speeds compared to other balls hence the weird movements
Yeah football nowdays arent perfectly spherical they are kind of oval but the jabulani had a smooth texture and way rounder
Ngl the prototype of the 2016 Milan kit is amazing
it is right!
The AC Milan top! 😍🔥 That prototype Jabulani is actually crazy! 🤯 Would love to test that out for Knuckleballs! 😅👊 Top work Ki! 💯
Yeaaa
For an ad campaign adidas should’ve gone with:
“Jabulani: It’s not a bug, it’s a feature”
lmao
They did! I remember the marketing from the time (I’m slightly autistic, I remember things like this), they said it moved more than any other ball ever made.

I love the bit on the Jabulani!!! Amazing video!! But is the Nike Air Zoom better than the mercurials?
Really cool cinematics and unique vid ideas as always Kirean. You never disappoint.
9:53 that was so clean 😍. another great video again Kieran 🔥
Kieran taking shots: oooooh, ouaaaoaah, ooooooooooo, aaaaaaaouuuuuuu lets go
That prototype ac milan kit is so nice. Why didn't they release that smh

Yet what the actually got was a terrible World Cup 🤷♂️

Jabulani is my favorite football. I love the way it behaves in air. So much fun.
Keep up the great content bro 👍👍
Hey Kieran my favourite football TH-camr keep up the good work👍
the jabulani was to add a random variable to the game so it spices up the game
7:22 i thought he pulled out a shotgun.

The video doesnt start with the word " *SO* "
THIS IS HISTORY GUYS
You're video ideas are very rare and unique
Man, Jabulani shots look like straight out a videogame
I bet all the strikers loved it because keepers hated it.. the prototype ball is deff worth the money that should be in a football museum
Love ur vids Kieran 👍👍

This video is incredible bro🙏👑💚
"Not only does our ball fulfill all these conditions but in fact they go beyond them"
That's one way to say it
This sounds like malicious compliance by Adidas to intentionally troll everyone. Which of course is respectable.
i remember playing with this ball as a kid and the cokes red and green one with yellow just brings back good memories, plenty of great goals scored (:

Why did you wet the needle before pumping up the ball ?

Hey Kieran where did you get your prototype jersey???
5:57 bro roasted adidas so hard😂😂😂😂
Thank you for all you do for us I love your vid’s keep up good work
Volleyball players using float serves would love the Jabulani as a volleyball
Concept products are never meant for distribution; they are used simply as a test-bed to develop other products
“They are so uncomfortable”
*couple of seconds later*
“Honestly the most uncomfortable boots I’ve ever worn”
Kieran is the best
might be because its meant to be a ball that isnt meant to be used to for games, like the kicker swerveball
That AC Milan shirt was soooo nice!!!
Congrats on 3 mil
I think it was clever from adidas as they knew it would be the most talked about boot in the world
nearly at 2 million subs lets go

I think Nike don’t mass produce the air zoom boots because they are probably fairly expensive to make.
Diego Forlan's favorite ball.

So... you show it perfectly on the thumbnail and then blur it on the intro? 😅
I need that AC Milan kit 🔥 🔥. I can’t even find a picture on google of it.
can you review adidas al rihla, the official world cup ball 2022 please
That “OOAH” sound when he shoots😂
your vids rock
Please how much would I need to pay for a jabulani foot ball I’ve been looking for one for so long
They made the ball like that so there would be more goals in the World Cup and make it more popular
«Alright lets do some pings»
*goes on to knuckle the ball*
I’m looking into buying training balls what type of balls would you recommend?
Jabulani seems to be a great option!
