I took a roundabout route (which involved no roundabouts) in the company of local historian Tom Vague between Latimer Road and Ladbroke Grove stations on the Hammersmith & City/Circle lines of the London Underground.
After a brief foray into the streets of Notting Dale, we tried to find evidence of the 1830s racecourse called the Kensington Hippodrome.
    Walked during July 2023

This is a fascinating video. I lived in Ladbroke Grove and was interested in the Hippodrome but could never find any information on it, until now. Thank you so much!

remember standing on my balcony n Frinstead House and looking down on the filming of The Squeeze with Stacy Keach. A year later being taken to see the film on a date, not realising that was the film I'd witnessed! Minder filmed around that area, using Julie's bar in Portland Rd.

I’ll add that Minder info for later use! Thanks

Please get the facts rights about old buildings and don't assume or guess what they were.
