    This explains how to fill it, but what about where the discharged water goes? Or am I totally missing something? I'm looking to hook my SPT 18" dishwasher permanently as well, thanks for any help!

    Thank you SO much! Got a comfee portable dishwasher and we were losing our minds when the people at Lowe's said they had no idea what anything was. Thanks so much for showing the details on the parts and explaining it so clearly!!!

      I got a Comfee portable dishwasher too! I've had mine 2 years & it works great but I am so sick of filling it w/ a pitcher. I threw away to hoses it came with.

    Hell yes! I just did this myself. I didn't have the same sizes as you did, but it absolutely helped figure out what I needed to do. This will be such a huge life improvement for us!

      Does the dishwasher pull water from the line or do you need to shut the valve on / off to fill the dishwasher?

    Dude thank you so much for this. I’m installing one of these for a client and same situation, I want permanent piping and you can’t get away without altering the original hose. You’re a beast thanks

    Did you have any issues leaving the water supply on all the time? I know that you added the inline shut off.... But I'm assuming you only use that if you need to service the dishwasher.

    How did you drain work? Looks like you reduced it and extend it, potentially causing future clogs...

    Do you have a video of your countertop dishwasher under the counter? I'm looking to do the same.

    Thank you so much for this video. I am going to do this, but not going to put the needle shut off inbetween lines. I am installing a dual shut off under sink with each branch having its own shut off. My house is old. So I also have to install the dishwasher tail piece for gray water. Also ripped apart a cabinet so I can build it in. Hopefully when the parts come, everything goes without a hitch😂🙏🙏🤞

      How did it come out? I'm thinking of putting mine in a cabinet and doing a permanent install as well. I miss having the counter space.

      @@itsnoahonfire I actually just removed the doors, as the opening was wide enough. And built a shelf for it to sit on since I had a six inch gap.

    Can you tell me specifically what that last adapter is that connects to the hot water valve?

      I’m pretty sure that’s a 3/8 inch add A tree.

    How do you hook it up to a wet bar sink that doesn’t have an aerator? It’s just flat under the nozzle..

    The thing that infuriates me the most about this, is it would take less than 10$ in parts and shipping IF they made a conversion adapter kit to NA Standard. But no, they want to sell their 97$ coupling with hoses included when you mess up your existing hose...

  • @CRSolarice
    @CRSolarice 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I can always find the flaw. I apologize in advance; I'm not out to be critical of everyone's video. Well, I suppose sometimes I am but not this time. The main problem that I see with this person's suggestion is that the braided garden hose is not suitable for potable water. You can buy a 'garden' type hose that is suitable but you must specifically source such an item. What really makes this a terrible idea is, still, the garden hose. If you run hot water through it, like you would want to in order to clean dishes properly, it will literally disintegrate. I don't know what manner of chemicals, residues and particles will come out of such a hose by running hot water through it but I do know that there will be some sort of gunky, gumpy, goo particles that will disintegrate from within the hose and it will be distributed through whatever is on the receiving end of the hose. Chemicals and particles are one thing but a rubbery cement like goop will not do wondrous things for the mechanisms inside of your dishwasher. If you are going to go this route (which seems to me to be a temporary and unsightly approach) then you will absolutely need to track down a hose that is suitable for potable, hot water. I doubt that they will be extremely economical, price-wise but it is a must, please trust me on this. I'm not clear on how hazardous to a person's health using a standard garden hose for potable water distribution might be, however until you do the deep dive research that such an endevour deserves then please assume that it may be or become a disaster of epic proportions, especially on a personal, familial level. Maybe it won't cause a lethally dangerous situation but I have the thought that nothing can out do or once done erase the level of the emotional pain that one can find themselves having to endure if they accidentally were to maim, injure or worse, themselves or their loved one(s).
    I urge caution in adapting this system for use without first doing additional research as to the feasibility and safety of such a system. It is clever but if it is going to cause harm then, well...
