I try to keep my rpm at or above 3K pretty much all the time.
It’s gear selection, and this long-legged gearbox is excellent.
For sustained and consistent speeds less than 80 mph, the T100 is awesome. Even a Trident or Speed 400 is awesome.
I’m in Houston, so lots of slab Interstate cross-crossing through downtown. It’s the ONLY twisties we have! 😂
Thank you for sharing your rides through Japan!
Thank you for your comment.
The 1200cc engine is very good at slab speeds and does it with aplomb.
I see very few TH-cam videos showing anyone wringing this motor out in the 4-5K rpm range and if you are not, you’re missing out on half the fun.
I’m logging lots of miles over 80mph, and plenty enough at 90 or more.
Madstadt windscreen.
I don’t lug my motor below 3K rpm. Let it sing!
Don’t be intimidated by the RUMBLE!
has the gearbox/gear selector problem ever been sorted out on the bonneville models either by the replacement of the gear sellector or in recent years of manufacture [if so then when] in such a way that the issue won't reoccure?
No,I haven't experienced any such problems.
3020 T120 here, with a hard 20K miles on it. If it was going to break it would have already.
None issue.
