I've watched this video so many times since you've uploaded it. What an incredible sounding bass, not to mention beautiful playing. One of these days, I'll get around to buying some used Darkstar pickups.
@thebassistsoldier its pretty much a really loud jazz bass. the tones arent that different. i find these pickups to be a bit better at responding to dynamics. i run it through my pedal board, sounds great distorted. i use a few different distortions. the bottom end is great with these.
I've got other vids with this bass. Apparently, Guild has reissued the starfire bass and are making the Bi-sonic pickup again. I was thinking about contacting them to see if i could just buy the pickups. I wouldn't mind having another. Might be in your interest to try contacting guild.

The sound of those pick-ups are really musical, and you have a nice touch!
My boy Fred makes these pickups. Hell of a Player too.These are quality and tone is bad ass!
