Great review. Thanks, I was a bit in doubt about which cooking system to choose, but your review made it really easy. I see they now sell with a small fryingpan as well. Will order one now and looking forward to trying it out.

Greetings from Alaska! I've seen a heap of videos on this to make a very informed decision on a cook system to use while scouting. Yours is very informative with a bit of humor. To the point, while answering many questions people might have. It has cemented my search and I'm gonna give it a go! Thanks a bunch for making this video.

Cool! Let me know how you get on with it, and I'm happy to answer any questions you might have. Mine is still going strong, despite many attempts to kill it.

Very helpful, I'm hiking with 5 kids and this is helping me make my decision. Thank you!

I hope it works out for you! My review sample is still going strong - used it several times this week.

Just back from the two week hike. Used the Windburner duo every day, twice a day. Used the pot on average once a day. My only complaint is that the lid rollers popped off early in the journey. Other than that we were very happy with this system. So glad for your recommendation.

Hello, thank you for this video. I am wondering if you are expert and you know how to reset thermal trip mechanism. Instructions are for the small one windburner stove with different system but not for a msr group system.

When will msr make a Wok version. Actually the wok set-up has the same design an enclosed jet flame with direct heat.

Is it possible to regulate the flame on the 1.8 L version?

  • @HOUSCOUS

Can the pot be used directly on the campfire?

    • @originaloutdoors
      @originaloutdoors  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

The big one possibly could, but I wouldn't recommend it. It's quite a complex shape underneath, with several thin pieces that could either deform or be clogged. If you're looking for a pot that could work on both a fire and a stove then a more conventional system would be a better option IMO.

Thanks for the explanation. I will look more into it.

Really appreciate the review! I was about to purchase this, however once I realised you couldn't fit your head in the stock pot, I decided against it. A bit of a deal breaker. Haha. Enjoyed it mate, cheers from nz!

Original Outdoors hello! Your air rifle video guides halped realy well! But i need to ask you a question. Which one would you choose from these three:
    1) gamo urban
    2) hatsan flash carbine QE
    3)umarex gauntlet
Or any other in similar price range ($300)

I'm very disappointed at this video. You didn't say what sized head you have and so I cannot determine if the pot will fit me or not! Please include all key measurements in the future! ;-) Made me smile, you've a new subscriber and I'm with you on how to pronounce aluminium.

Excellent review of these 'aluminuminuminium' pots! ;) Very helpful as I've been considering swapping over to these from my Jetboil for a bit more flexibility. MSR have a video of the extensive packability between & across the range of WindBurner stoves - although you'll probably have to watch the video about 10 times to see what exactly is going on (or maybe I'm just slow on the uptake!): th-cam.com/video/0jEWGIriTB8/w-d-xo.html

the video of the nesting of all the kit is what sent me here afterwards. i watched the aforementioned video 15 times, finally slowed down the speed, then clicked over to this video, and it played at half speed and it sounded like he was drunk and THAT made me stay, subscribe and like! hahaha

Look at the spelling UK. AL UM IN UM is a four syllable word. It's not spelled al um in E um. So yeah you are wrong. No biggie, we in America know how posh you Brits are.
