You are best in the west. Even if I live in Europe and notes are named differently. C is DO, D is RE, E is MI, etc, your explanations are easy. I will stick with you. I'm a beginner. I just love your classes

you're such a calm teacher it makes me want to watch your tutorials everyday however one of my greatest desire is to play by chords. You showed us the chord progression which I am practicing but how do I know which chord to apply to the various songs? Please bear with me a 72year old. Just to let you know I am a grade 2 beginner.

I always practice the lesson until my brain needs a break , then riff around and play with the chords,,, thank you...I am old school when lessons like this weren't so available available, ,,,thank you, I have found my teacher...I am pretty quick on the uptake so I should have this figured out in the next month or two.....I don't mind taking my time though.....

Hello Kaitlyn (sp) My name is Bob. I have been playing the guitar for many, many years. Recently I have have developed tendentious in both shoulders and I have to rest them. I always wanted to learn the piano, so I thought now is the time. One of my inspirations is Eddie Van Halen because what he did was really apply the piano to the guitar, tapping, etc. (I just learned JUMP)
As I wondered through the endless youtube video's on how to begin playing the piano yours struck a chord :) anyway, do you have a video that just shows all the chords major and minor - no sus chords to get started. I can tell you from a beginner's perspective that plays the guitar that might by far the easiest way at least for me. Once I learn all the chords with my right hand I can then add the left hand. I have watched many of your videos and they all make sense, especially the 5 must know patterns as I have used most of them. Thanks Bob. P.S. I do know all my scales and enough theory to be dangerous I just need some basics. And yes your video on the 4 + 3 to find a major chord was perfect! So I guess I am a beginner, but not really.

Thanks again for your videos. I am surprised that you do not mention 2-5-1 progression as one of the most popular progression.
A question: in classical music, is there some chords progression that are more frequent?
    Have a nice day…

I love your teaching style and the suggested songs for each progression were great. I'd have to choose the Journey song as my favorite, but I liked them all. Question: I am not a true beginner, but not really up to intermediate either. I've been playing for almost 3 years and will finish my current 6-module lessons by October 2023. My main goal is to be able to play good accompaniment and not just octaves on the left and triads on the right. I took your 45-minute roadmap course and liked it, but wonder if it would be mostly review for the first part? Can you give me an idea of what your course would be like for someone who has a little experience? I'd like to be able to play good accompaniment from a lead sheet and also work up to playing the melodies with a little style instead of single notes as they appear on the lead sheet.

Your last chord progression sounds great but E major (III) and F minor (iv) use notes that are not part of the C major scale so you aren’t really playing the progression in that scale.

A variation of the I - VI - IV - V that is really cool too and often used is I - VI - II - V. Which would be C - Am - Dm - G. Dm is actually the same as F except you change the bass note from F to D. Cheers
