Many thanks. We have an old Heatform which was probably great back in the day but the overhead vents were rusted mostly open and it wasn't that good. I was thinking building something better but with a door on it.
My heatlilator had some interior rust. The outer shell was completely rusted out. I can only imagine this made it easier to remove. Am in the process of sealing off the vents. Will continue to follow your process. Great video.
Finally, a video that is comparable to my situation. Thank you! I have a rusting smoke shelf that intend to repair. I laid a flat metal strip over the rusted out area, applied fireplace cement. Now I intend to cover the complete bottom of the shelf with refractory cement and then cross my fingers. I know, highly unprofessional. I'm just not ready to tear it out. Will get back to you if I don't burn my house down. 🤔
This video is the answer to my prayers. Thank you.
This video w. As so helpful. Many thanks!!!!!!!!!

How did it work out for you?
Thank you for posting this. I am about to remove one almost exactly as you have done.
Did you end up removing yours? I'm tempted to do the same
@@WhiteBr34d ya, same here. I’m wonder about the actual removal process. Torch or grinder?
