I've found that if you wash your hands really well and then turn on a fan on high when you are filming it really helps keep the oil/perspiration off of the face of the opal when having a close look.
Those needles look like a meteor shower inside the stone. I think this is great. I look forward to seeing the microscopic views of the different opals.
You product research is so useful! I'd be curious to see how the microscope does with white opal. My iPhone macro lens does well with most things but not with white opal. I can get OK results with enough time and tinkering with lighting, exposure, and background. However, too much time/effort for mediocre results.
@@RoysRocks Just the local cost for it. Vat is automatically applied in the UK for everything so you don't get the "oh the price has gone up 20%" when you go to checkout like in the US
Yeah thats what I call them too but I'll have to double check it. I could try the Raman microscope at work (when I finally fix it). Otherwise if I can extract a bit the XRD would get the ID done.
That stone with the needles look so cool in that size. Nice addition to the toolbox. Looking forwards to some future awesome pics and videos :-)
The needle inclusions look great but so does the dendritic opal. There will be some cool photos and videos out of this toy.
Who doesn’t love a new cool toy. Thanks for sharing Roy
If only I had more space for more toys.
@@RoysRocks now Roy, there is an entire university lab, just needing to be correctly utilised.
Thanks Roy. I'm sure the review will help many out there.👍
Hopefully. I'll be getting comments from non-opal people on this one for sure like when I do camera stuff.

Not my grease hands. Too much KFC in my blood.
Nice, looking forward to more details in the future 😊
Plenty of micro details to come.

They are cool. Rarely do I feel good about an inclusion but these ones were interesting.
Very cool! Im now inspired to get a polarizing filter for my camera! ♥
The polarizing filters are super cool. Really helps sometimes.

White opal can be tricky sometimes, it might help to turn off your phones auto white balance setting and tune it yourself?
If only conversion worked like that in the real world. The 7" one is closer to £90 in the UK
VAT adding a bit on? That or the local distributor.

When connected to PC, will the remote control record photo or video to PC file ? Thanks for the Great video 🇨🇦😉
I can test that. When it is connected to the computer I was just using the software to command the camera but I could see if the remote works.
The needles look like titanium or rutile.
Could be but I think the colour is indicating something else.
The miners call those gypsum needles. I've always wondered if it is really Gypsum? Any way to tell for sure?

Pair of tweezers with silicone on the inside and you won’t leave prints
Tweezers are always super slippery though and I've had stones go flying behind my desk in the past... the rescue mission is tough.
I think they are more design for COINS.!!!............Roy
Mostly for micro soldering which is also what I will use it for.
There are tons of microscopes now just lie this and I see nothing special.
Thanks for the review 2x👍
Doesn't have to be special just has to work and be worth the price tag.
There are tons of shoes out there and none are special but thats not an issue.
