My brother John Boyd started this choir years ago in Detroit. The now director was one of the students in the choir. Glad to see this.

Thank God for people like John Boyd and Mr. White and these amazing kids! They're all an amazing inspiration and a huge blessing! I was touched by all of them! May God continue to bless each and every one of them and their families above and beyond all they could ask or think! I hope to see more of them! They should do a CD and concerts! I love them! They put a smile on my face! :)

What makes them good is the fact that can move and sing at the same time and still sound good with a routine to match. Any entertainer, singer over thirty would have been tired long ago but then again the DYC are young kids with lots of energy.
I absolutely felt all of that energy on that stage. The HBCU drum line dancing the frat/Sorority moves and all!!!! That is Young, melanated excellence at its finest!!!! Bless everyone involved in this boss performance. I was filled with so much pride, I cried just as Gabrielle did. 👏🏾👏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾👏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
All I can say is Wow. Awe. That was emotional to watch. I was getting all teary eyed. These kids are reppin the D to the fullest! The song was a perfect selection for these kids. The D has got so much talent! Our city loves you DETROIT YOUTH CHOIR! Keep shining light!
To lead such a large group of kids with such a huge age range is amazing those kids did a phenomenal job and so did their director

I was watching each person they zoomed on and every single one was putting maximum energy and commitment into their performance. these guys are awesome. really uplifting.
What Up, Doe! To hear Queen Latifa say that gave me chills! The D is in the hizzouse! Represent! Love everything about DYC! The kids have some incredible back stories that will leave you in tears but Mr. White, through music gave the kids hope and purpose! This group is beyond amazing! Well done!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

So happy for all of these wonderful people. I had the privilege of knowing Detroit when it was a thriving metropolis with such huge talent. So amazing to see the spirit of these children and their mentor. Incredible. They will restore Detroit, in a new better way, with their inspirational beauty. 💕💕💕

Hands down one of the BEST EVER moments on AGT. Terry Cruz is such a down to earth and humble guy, and it's awesome how much those kids inspired him.

Amazing performance from DYC
Wow, what a performance. This was, as Simon put it, very close to their audition which was itself mind blowing. There's something really inspirational about the this choir that keeps blood pumping all over your body. I'm definitely rooting for these kids plus Ndlovu youth choir whose performance I liked a tad more to be honest. I do really hope that they will be through to the finale and also finish among the top three there. Way to go kids.

Honestly, this is the very first time I've actually enjoyed their performance.
This was their best performance to beat should they make it through to the finals
I'm Hispanic and I'm in tears and hopeful for my future after I saw performances from this choir and I'm not even into AGT I'm an IT finance consultant

QL said it all, DYC IS ENTERTAINMENT!! I coudn't EXPECTED less,.. but this RENDITION of "HIGH HOPES" put DYC to be the "ONLY ACT TO BEAT". They took me by SURPRISE, Mr. White is a GENIUS and these KIDS are all TALENTED and AMAZING. DYC sets the COURSE to FOLLOW in the new trend of CHOIRS. DYC going STRAIGHT TO THE FINALS!!

@@gtman4530 Ndlovu audition was Golden Buzzer worthy.... producers of the show knows where to put their buzzer for views. Don't get me wrong, but the fact is reality shows are scripted.
Voices of Service and African youth choir were/are so much better to progress. I will miss them!
