I've done a lot of walking on the same streets as you and Jerome Eliis. A lot of memories. You both are inspiring me back to health. My favorite also are those rainy walks in the Philippines, those are cool
A Dutchman, I grew up in Palo Alto. How the downtown area has evolved into something attractive and inviting. I now live in the Netherlands, and I relish the largely car-free Dutch city centres. Palo Alto would be wise to eliminate the cars from University Avenue.

What a beautiful and clean city .
Palo Alto is beautiful. It is one of the best places to visit and spend some time in California. To live there must be amazing.
This reminds me of myself having lived in PA for five years :)

My great uncle moved to Palo alto in the 1930s to attend stanford.he was from the Dallas tx area.

There must be a contrasting difference of weather between Palo Alto and anywhere in Netherlands whether it is Rotterdam or Amsterdam.

Yes
Heavy traffic on peak hours and extremely minimal exits in and out of the city. Not good for driving. I find the city very elitist more than inviting.
