My parents bought a new home in Santa Clara in 1961 just off Homestead Rd. and Woodhams Rd. on Stevenson St..It cost them $24,500. Today that same home is valued at $2 million 500 thousand ! Totally nuts ! Especially when now I see the streets are littered with pick up trucks, RV'S, and boats. No Cadillacs, Thunderbirds, Corvettes, or Lincolns like when I was growing up.
Funny how some of the shots are San Jose, Costa Rica.

The home prices are easily two times what you say they are! Who are you trying to kid?
Not really, they are saying the median home price. The range doesn't have to be that wide, I was recently looking and I was surprised it wasn't as expensive as I thought it would be, i saw a very nice 3/2 house in a great neighborhood for 1.2 million. For the area, a lot cheaper than I was expecting, I was expecting to not find anything under 1.8 million.

Do you even live in San Jose? The home prices are very inaccurate I don’t know anyone that names the Burbank neighborhood. It’s just San Jose.
I lived in the Burbank neighborhood in San Jose 0:51 , and yuuuuck.
The AI voice doing the narration mispronounces San Jose, Los Gatos and some other names as well. Home prices are much higher than this video would have you believe.

All areas you mentioned are far more expensive
Yes every house is valued at over a million easily. Even then the rent was very low most renters pay nearly 3,000 for a two bedroom apartment.

Really don't understand the amount of content providers in TH-cam making just videos using stock footage. Having have lived in the Santa Clara valley for 15 years I can attest none of this footage matches the neighborhood they are describing, giving people the wrong idea. Pretty useless video if you really want to move to San Jose.
I couldn’t even make it through half the video. Starting a business? The home prices? Not even close. Please tack on an additional 2-3 million if you want something close to what was pictured.

Almaden Valley in South San Jose? Seems you missed that one. Parents bought a house in 1975 there for $57,000. Sold for 2 million a couple years ago. Prices seem to be off (lower) by a lot in the places you looked at.
My favorite of all the places you looked at is Los Gatos. Incredible town.

born and raised in Morgan Hill and am so glad I finally moved out ,,,,so expensive and crowded and people are not very nice there,,,,,the crime rate is way too high as well...

i live in San Jose.. I settled here after I was discharged. I bought my home which I still live in for $ 16,000. That was in the late 60s. It is now valued at just over 1.5 million. Sounds good but only when one sells their home. I have lived here for 55 years and will never sell it, The only reason I have been able to survive is not having a mortgage. Those who purchase their homes nowadays have mortgage payments of over $5,500 a month. Property taxes for most are over $15,000 a month. The rent here is horrible. Most rentals are over$4.00 a month. Good luck to those who are thinking of moving here.

It's close to the Burbank area of SJ....just south of 280 and east of Highway 17.

You didn't visit Story and King Rd.....horribly bad area... I lived in San Jose my whole life.. bought a house for 42k in 1976. It is now worth a million in the Beryessa area ... Burbank really...not a good area even though near Valley Fair and Santana Row
