    You are the only one on the whole internet to tell the resolution in AR is 1496*935, really appreciate that.

      Nebula does some display trickery to get multi display working, so maybe that will change as they continue to improve the software.

     @Coffee 'n Cards Has the jittering gotten any better with recent updates? And do you have an M1 Pro or Max? M1 (and now M2) Pro only supports 2 external monitors, though I'm curious whether the M1/M2 Pro would support the three-screen mode. Assuming you have a Pro, as it would explain why "one of the displays must be a mirror of the MacBook display." Curious if it's just a general limitation, even for the Max chip

    • @coffee_n_cards
      @coffee_n_cards  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I've mostly been playing with the 3D SBS firmware lately, and haven't seen an update to the macos beta come down yet. You are correct though, I have an M1 Pro, but my gut tells me it's most likely a software limitation in this case and a Max chip would run into the same thing.

    Could you please elaborate a little bit particularly on single monitor usage (screen mirroring or clamshell mode)? I mean, how good is text legibility (say in Word, Excel, Outlook, source code editor, terminal, browser etc)? Do you have to zoom in a lot? Is there any noticeable eye strain after using them for a few hours comparing to sitting in front of a regular 24" FullHD monitor? Also, is there any image distortion closer to the edges, as is the case with VR glasses (Quest 2)?

    • @coffee_n_cards
      @coffee_n_cards  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Personally I think screen mirroring looks really good through the glasses. I find text to be clear and do not need to zoom in at all. The caveat though is that this is like working on a 1080p tv 9 ft away from you. So your comfort level with the glasses will track pretty similarly to your experience in that scenario. There will be some distortion / chromatic aberration around the corners.

      I have to agree; the resolution for a single screen is great. I travel quite a bit and the ability to use these as a large display is excellent. The multi-display is still jumpy but works. I'm operating in a 2.4 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i9.

    I'm interested in using these for macbook with intel, did they update this yet? I am also traveling like you and miss my widescreen monitor from at home. Also, can the glasses open all my macbook apps? Like Logic Pro? Is it a fully functional desktop or limited to certain apps? Also the screen moves with you if you turn your face or stays in place all the time You show it later but im not sure is this only for m1 or also intel? Thanks for the vid man!

    • @coffee_n_cards
      @coffee_n_cards  ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't think there is an update for intel yet, but I haven't been tracking that closely. The glasses in mirror mode will act just like an external monitor and be fixed in your vision, so apps will run just like it would with any external monitor. The screen being fixed in space is only for M1 when using Nebula beta for MacOS.

  • @Zenantsy
    @Zenantsy ปีที่แล้ว

    Is it good/decent enough to replace a normal monitor as a dual screen setup for the intel MacBook?

    • @coffee_n_cards
      @coffee_n_cards  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'll use it as such, but it comes with some caveats. Working on a screen that is fixed in your view takes some getting used to and the sunglass lenses + frames make the laptop screen harder to see. Some have modded their glasses to remove the lenses and bottom frame to improve visibility. Definitely proceed with caution if you venture down that path.

    What is the current quality of the multi screen part of the nebula app. Does it still have this jitteryness when used on an m1 mac?

    • @coffee_n_cards
      @coffee_n_cards  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I actually just tried it again a couple days ago, and it seems improved. I would say the biggest drawback now is resolution and fov of the glasses and the forced resolution and mirroring of the main screen.

    I'm studying at home and sometimes it gets boring. I wanted these glasses to change the way we consume content, such as texts and videos. Is it possible to read and study with him?
    In quest 2 I found the text blurry and heavy and hot.

    • @coffee_n_cards
      @coffee_n_cards  ปีที่แล้ว

      If you use this as a purely external display with a phone/pc/mac then text would be as readable as it would on a 1080p display. With Nebula AR virtual screens on M1 Mac, I still find text pretty readable, but you will need to keep you head still to avoid the jittering.

    Would you say these are comfortable enough to work a full day?

    • @coffee_n_cards
      @coffee_n_cards  ปีที่แล้ว

      There's enough weight from the components that there is more pressure on the nose bridge than normal glasses so YMMV on extended use comfort. That said, I've definitely used these for most of a work day with some breaks.

    How to fix the screen so it doesn’t move with my head ??

  • @haris8134
    @haris8134 ปีที่แล้ว

    Quick question, my phone is not compatible with the Nreal Air AR glasses and its slightly concerning because I wanted to use this as a way to consume movie, tv shows and youtube. I do however have a m2 macbook air that i can use. However I want that 180 inch viewing experience that everyone talks about when they are watching a movie. Will that I find that same experience if don't use multiple displays and only use 1 display when using my macbook air?

    • @coffee_n_cards
      @coffee_n_cards  ปีที่แล้ว

      You should be able to mirror your display with a MacBook. I would double check M2 compatibility, but it should be fine for mirroring regardless of Nebula compatibility.

      There is a new app called Spatial Cinema for Mac that is dedicated to watching videos that has 3 degrees of freedom, which runs separately to that gives you a 252 inch screen option and gives you 3d subs optionality
