I was not using the Xreal Beam in this video, in fact the beam doesn't work with Nebula. The only thing required for this setup to work is your pc having a usb c display port.

Oh wow finally it works on Windows! Does it need to be Windows 11 or does it also work on Windows 10? I was so close to getting a Macbook just for the XREALs but now I might get a Windows laptop instead.
hi! first of all thanx for all the xreal reviews, super informative and super helpful. im thinking of buying a pair of xreal's (probably air 2 pro). i watched a few of your videos and i basicly cannot see any reason to buy the beam... am i missing somthing? i mean.. if the air's can cast my galaxy phone apps such as netflix etc or even DEX. and they can run windows with 3 dof without the beam, so what is the "added value" of the beam?
The only way to watch netflix, prime, etc in 3dof is by using the beam. Without it, your display is fixed. The issue is Netflix, prime, etc has DRM that prevents us from being able to use their services in the device native app. You will hear audio, but there will be no video. You can still use services like TH-cam's website in the nebula app to watch normal youtube videos, but not youtube movies, once again because of DRM. The beam on the other hand, can allow you to use those services to watch movies in full 3dof.
@@KingKola_ thanx man! I appreciate it. just to make it clear, i won't be able to watch netflix/disney even if i'll use the air's as a laptop monitor/samsung dex, or i'll be able to do so just without 3 dof?

I agree and I have a Dell XPS w/ a RTX2060. For me at least Nebula is unusable and a direct connect or using the Beam (for the following function) is the way to go.
Hi. Just watched your new beam pro vid. Hope u can cover this function on your next video on beam pro if it is supported. Thanks for your vids. Very helpful
Thank you for the update about the current beta version! I highly appreciate your videos and thank you for your time. I have some questions regarding performance and eye fatigue. Can you wear for let's say an 8 hour home office shift? Is the video transmission from the pc to the glasses laggy? Does the setup feel responsive? Because I am wondering if there is any concern from your side, why this app should still be in beta and needs some improvement.
I think with 8hrs there will definitlely be not just eye fatigue, but just having something on your face and looking at a screen for that long can be exhausting. Though i think it's duable with breaks in between. It's not laggy on my computer, however, if i'm edtiting videos and i move my head too fast you can see some screen tearing which to me isn't that big of a deal yet. I think perfomance issues on less powerfull computer is probably why it's still in beta. Like i meantioned in the video, it drains my battery fast because i am typically also editing videos when i run the software.
You need to be careful with the eye when using the glasses for such prolonged use. I have been using them a lot. And never had issues earlier till day before yesterday when i saw extreme redness in my left eye. Its called Bloodshot eye i think and happens from extreme exposure to screens. And after giving some good rest to my eyes it was back to normal. So now i use them carefully.
Hey Kola, great video....and I appreciate the information. I just got the air 2 pro and beam. Are you aware of a way to do a virtual display like this pc setup using Samsung Dex?
Wow, exactly what I've been researching. Initially, I was looking at Nimo Planet with glasses but your video shows a better idea with my existing PC. My question is, can I use the "Nebula" software on a iPad or Samsung galaxy phone? I'm wanting to use this sitting on a bus, in a hotel room or on a plane. Is this all possible? Can I use any glasses? Thanks in advance

I really want these glasses to be able to have multiple monitors on Windows, I would like to know if I also need the beam to make it work or does it work without it.
I know that the Xbeam helps with compatibility, I'm already considering buying it but it would be nice to know if I should buy it right away
You don't need the beam for multiple windows, but your pc does need to be powerful enough to run nebula on windows or mac.
Hey, with which graphic card did you ran nebula for windows?
Nvidia Geforce rtx 3050 @@ramburda
@@KingKola_ Thanks, Do you think that a standard graphic card on Dell Inspirion laptop (intel motherboard) is enough for 3DOF stable screen?
Bruh my stuff don’t even load
Your pc might not be powerful enough, you could also try and follow the instructions if you didn't.
@@KingKola_ different cords won’t work either
This review was the most helpful review for me. Thanks man!! Was the screen tracking smooth for you? I’m just nervous it’ll be super jittery or buggy when using this as an external monitor
Imagine if it had "air touch feature" too...
Oh that'd be crazy, new xreal ultra might support that in the near future though. It's capable of hand tracking with It's cameras.
The new Ultra ones do I think.
@@delmixedit might be double price tho
I think Nebula is useless until Xreal will allow to anchor the screens without the use of the horrible Xbeam product.
it might be true that you have gone against the NDA for the beta software however i think a lot of viewers are now more informed of the choices and you have unknowingly increased sales for them. Unreal oops nreal oops xreal 😂😂😂
Good point, "unreal" haha
I think they gave up on this. Lol.
