As a guy who played the original right before the remake this game hurts my heart. 1:13:57 Some devs didnt do their research regarding to this remake. A lot of shit didnt happened in the OG its like they created their own resident evil 2 1st. The cell scene there was supposed to be a parasite comint out of bens body and that parasite would be the mini boss in the chess piece area. 2nd. The dust chimney shortcut in the clocktower they removed it. 3rd. The library, that place was supposed to be location of the knights piece not a bridge HAHAHA. 4th. Leon should be giving ada a hand outside the chess chamber to get the heart key and that was removed too bruh. 5th. Ada didnt kissed leon. They were supposed to fight william in the cable car where ada is injured and taken outside the nest. 6th. The route to the nest is through the sewers behind rpd not in kendos gunshop or the parking garage gate. The dude already died right in the beginnint of the OG. 7th. Marvin is inside the police office west side not into the main hall of RPD. 8th. Leon and claire should be reuniting in the stars office not outside lmao. 9th. There are no infected spiders there and it should have any and could be founded outside the chess chamber. 10th. There are no goddamn wristband entry needed, you need only a umbrella card. 11th. Williams final form is in claires route not leon same as mr.x 12th. There are no dispensing puzzle in the og but rather the virus puzzle only and the only right thing they did was the freezer section HAHAHA. 13th. Theres no fucking way out in that statue in the main hall that was supposedly the another red ruby location. Overall your playthrough is nice 100/10 its just the remake is worse HAHAHA
Totally agree, I thought it's was a good remake but it's just too overrated (Also not that bad still have some pros), they just cut a lot of iconic things, adding unnecessary, I love how the OG was and Darkside Chronicles is kinda close to the OG than the Remake did.
Ughh you know that's remake not a remaster. First of all, the span of interest of modern players changed, that game was aimed at younger audience, lots of them don't even heard about Biohazard. At least half of things you pointed out, would not suit the idea of the gameplay they had in mind, especially when they overhauled quite a lot of mechanics to make it suitable to gameplay. Knowing it's a remake you should be aware, the game will not be line to line with original.
I agree on some things but it I like the remake. I was hoping to go through Raccoon streets before the RPD and the gunshop. I was sad it wasn’t in the remake.

I don’t like the resident evil games like RE2, RE3 where a stupid looking giant always follows you and the character just runs. RE4, RE5, RE6 is far better and has good stories and character development.
There's really no character development unless you meant the character's changes after the timeskip which it doesn't count when it happened off screen. Also good story? I beg your pardon? Resident evil 5 and 6's whole outline of the story is a good expansion for the re franchise but how it was executed is blatant stupid.
