Apexinno actually has extended grip versions of the silicone ones you showed. They actually feel quite nice. Took some getting used to a longer controller again coming from the AMVR grips. I'm ...but damn those Aubika one's look nice.
I love your reviews, they are always so helpful! It was your idea that prompted me to order the hand grips. I only ordered one of each hand grip, fully expecting to return one because I didn’t think I would need the options that each unique grip possessed. However, once I combined them, it was the perfect grip, and I could never send one back without giving up on one aspect of the feature each grip possessed. The cut out around the buttons and the soft plush padding on the back makes drawing so comfortable. Initially, I thought I would return one set and make do with the differences, but as you mentioned in your video review, once you combine them, you can't go back!
So quick tip for anyone that bought the black strap version of the APEXINNO grips and wants to use them with the official meta charging dock. -Remove the screw from the inside. -Cut the screw post flush. - Cut the end of the strap but only the bit that was around the screw. - Sand/prep the area where the strap end sits so the hot glue can strongly adhere. The strap already has another anchor point but I like redundancy when it comes to these things. -Glue, press, and you're done. Hope this helps.
This is going to blow your mind: I have the white and red edition and they DO have a black screw like the others. The difference is I got mine off Aliexpress. So maybe it's all about different batches, or they introduced the screw at a later time, or just dropshipping stuff.
I’ve been waiting weeks for this video… thanks for putting it together! Went with Kiwi and hoping they’ll be a good fit. I’m gifting a set so I ordered 2, and Amazon has a 6% discount if you order 2 or more.
Is there any silicon grips that are able to wirelessly charge to the dock? And what is the best wireless charging dock for the quest 3 in your opinion?
I use the AMVR grips (it’s a cover with a battery door), and I like I can keep the wrist straps on them along with knuckle straps. They feel clunky to put on, but I’ve been really enjoying them! I do wish there was more freedom for other hand grips, but that’s probably just knuckle straps in general. I do wonder if it messes with tracking, or if it’s a skill issue in games like Beat Saber
@JayBratt Amvr quest 3 grips with battery opening. and use the extra padding from the quest 2 kiwi extended grips is what I been rocking since amvr put there's out
The top strap attachment point on the AMVR silicone ones is in the most uncomfortable place. I feel like I have to adjust my grip on the controller to make it comfortable, but i have to hold the controller in a non-ideal position
I want a nice grip silicone or whatever with hand strap that will work in the metal Quest Dock … I’m just using the stock … I have the Apex red and white but it won’t sit in the meta quest dock well and wasnt charging … so I might but the $40 meta pair
What I dislike about the strap grips is that things like golf attachments, want you to use the stock strap to wrap around the club to secure it…which even the Meta straps don’t have. Anyone know of a club attachment that works well with straps without having to keep swapping to stock grips all the time?
After buying THREE other grips and finding issues with each of them, I broke down and bought the Meta ones. It would have saved me money in the long run to just get them first
Yeah I have seen the negative reviews and comments about the meta grips, and I gotta say all of it is bull sht. They are more than fine. Very comfortable and fit perfectly. Easy to forget you have them and no slip for anyone who is not actively trying to open hand throw them repeatedly. Even grabbing a grenade and throwing it open handed is fine. Tested. People say the material is scratchy. Maybe for the first 20 minutes, and even then hardly at all. They feel soft now after that tiny bit of wear.
Also silicone always rubbed me the wrong way. Making a controller bulkier, and having to remove it for batteries, or even if you get the battery compartment ones, for guns stocks. The meta ones take 10 seconds to remove to put the original doors on for a magnetic gun stock, and my other gun stock they are compatible with them because they don’t alter the size.
40 bucks is a bit much, but, I paid a few extra dollars on Amazon and got a warranty. I’ll probably have the headset more than 3-4 years. So considering it is a long term investment and I will have it for that long, it’s less of a big deal.
Broke down and bought the meta grips. They're perfectly fine and they don't feel uncomfortable at all. They're expensive but I appreciate that they're flush.
I got the Meta ones as there weren't any others available yet when I bought the Quest 3. The straps are essential for me, so even if they are expensive, I had to have them.
Here in Sweden the Meta original grips is 75$ and the Meta dock is 168$, trying to find something that works with the Quest 3 and grips that i can get for less then 243$....
I look for grips that are compatible with the expensive Meta charging dock and feel comfortable. The expensive Meta grips and Jay’s choice (Apexinno) are the ones I use now. Once Aubika comes out with theirs I’m sure I will listen to Jay, and get those too. But maybe there are better ones out there waiting….
You can easily loop the original wrist straps to the Apexinno knuckle straps.

Same here but I got mine off of Amazon

I got the original $8 Apex straps. No complaints. They're perfect.
I love my apex grips, no issues whatsoever but I paid 12 for mine I believe, still best bang for the buck for sure
Still wishing u would try amvr battery door straps without the silicone that can be be dremeled down to work with the battery dock
I need one that works with the carina d1 dock
Is there any silicon grips that are able to wirelessly charge to the dock? And what is the best wireless charging dock for the quest 3 in your opinion?
Dude you need a wakizashi for opening. It’s about half the size, that sword always looks awkward due to it’s size
Thanks for always being real with your reviews!

The white and red variant also now has the screw. Makes for a tight fit with the stock battery but still works and is a great strap for $15
I can second this. I got my straps (white option) a month or so ago and it came with the screw and metal clip
Seconding this, got the white and it included the metal screw, that being said the plastic extrusion was easy enough to remove with flush cutters.

I have those black silicone ones. Mine don't have a battery opener though. So annoying to change the battery. Worth the 12 dollars though!
I have the AMVR Grips ...like them so far for the grip and the protection
I tried the Apex inos.I thought I would like them but the fabric felt like it was cutting my hand (the black one btw)😢
I like videos about attachments
I too, have attachment issues 🎉

Currently rocking the Appexinno extended grips. Not bad but I definitely wouldn't mind another Kiwi extended grip if they ever make one.

are the giveaway results being announced today

You don't know how returning for refund works?
The best one for me is the protubevr straps because they slide on and off easily and so when I need to charge my controllers I ust pop them off.
Broke down and bought the meta grips. They're perfectly fine and they don't feel uncomfortable at all. They're expensive but I appreciate that they're flush.
Just got my red white grips definitely worth it comfortable and precise on tightness adjustment
The Kiwi ones have a metal stud that runs on my index finger knuckle.
I've been using those new extended grips and they're pretty great so far.
I got the Meta ones as there weren't any others available yet when I bought the Quest 3. The straps are essential for me, so even if they are expensive, I had to have them.
The original white grip version sells for about USD 10 on AliExpress

Hi Jay! How are you?
Why is it so hard to have grips with charging potential?????
I look for grips that are compatible with the expensive Meta charging dock and feel comfortable. The expensive Meta grips and Jay’s choice (Apexinno) are the ones I use now. Once Aubika comes out with theirs I’m sure I will listen to Jay, and get those too. But maybe there are better ones out there waiting….
The cheap silicone dont ship to Denmark 😢
Amazing review
Where's the giveaway results
What if you have very small hands
I use the AMVR ones and I really like them, I like it covers the top a bit less than the kiwis
And , what about giveaway?🥺
Hey bro your quest 3 giveaway is ended so make giveaway result reminder 😅
So many grips!
I don't see how any man with normal size hands can use the controllers without extended grips. Even with side straps .
