    In my opinion, the information in this video is really important. However, I also feel like if you can understand what I'm saying, you're probably already beyond the stage of translating in your head, so maybe it was a pointless video? Feel free to let me know what you think.

      Your advices are very important to speak language well. When i start to learn English i try to understand everything i heard and read. But then, i realize that i don't need to understand every word. Just be me at that time. Live every day fully in the present. I don't know English well, i can't speak English fluently, i can't read every word, i don't know grammar, etc... But it's ok. I will learn a little and improve a little every day. Never give up❤❤. Thank you Teacher. You're giving me good lessons day by day. Now i'm not caring to much about grammar or mistake when i write this comment. So it can have many mistakes.

    You're right. I also think that translation stops language learners from speaking fluently as I used to do with English.
    At the present, I have stopped doing translation in my head, but the challenge is still listening to native speakers and remembering vocabulary.

    To me, the words and phrases are automatically come out during the conversation. As English is different from my first language, it is hard to translate it over the conversation. For grammar mistakes over the conversation, I agree not to worry too much. If you worry too much, you will not have confidence to go on. Thanks for the lesson, Teacher Mike.😊

    Ah man, I am fine with English, I can write anything (not everything) but I can write I want to say to someone. My problem is speaking. I have no time to listen every word from Translator's speaker (how it sounds, how to pronounce it) and also remember how to say that. I am still thinking in my language and translate it to English and I think that this is the problem. I heard many times that you should thinking in language you want to speak. I am Slovakian, our grammar is way more complex and difficult then English, I live in the UK since 2008 but still cannot speak fluently 😥 Thank you for this video and I want to tell you that you are the real helper for everyone who need to be familiar with English. Hat off man for your video and once more thank you for your work. If you understood this comment then it means that I am good in English, just cannot speak fluently and that;s what I wanted to point ion here. Maybe because I am writing slower then speak 😜 Who knows 😉

    • @TeacherMikeEnglish
      @TeacherMikeEnglish  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Thanks a lot. It sounds like you are aware of your own strengths and weaknesses, and that is a very good thing. You are probably correct that the problem is that you rely on your native language too much. You need to watch some TV shows and JUST LISTEN. Don't even ask yourself "Do I understand this?" Just relax and listen. And when you hear something that sounds useful, repeat it out loud and write it down. And when speaking, instead of starting in your first language, try asking yourself what the English answer to that question is or what you think an English speaker would say.

    Hello, Mike, I have a question, with great respect. Why do you call yourself a "teacher" if Americans say it's incorrect. Thanks for clearing up my doubt. 🙌

    • @TeacherMikeEnglish
      @TeacherMikeEnglish  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I think you mean "Why do you call yourself Teacher Mike?"
      And there are lots of reasons. Here are 2.
      1. You can call yourself whatever you want.
      2. If I called myself "Mr + last name" I would have to tell everyone my last name, and no one would understand the purpose of my channel.
