I lost my momma yesterday,I can't explain how thankful I am for this song ...thank you so much Josh.
My momma lost her momma when she was 15 ,she never really was ok after ,her mom from all accounts was an angel and the void in her family was obvious,mom was oldest her dad didn't talk to her hardly at all after and she was so emotionally wounded .....this song has a line that feels like it's just for her .....

As others have said, similar to Steve Earle "Goodbye" but when I first heard the song, I thought of Ryan Bingham "Weary Kind" ... either way, very good heartfelt song.

Yes, I immediately thought the same thing! When I first heard this on the radio, I found that I could sing "Goodbye" over top of the entire track. I think Mr. Ritter has ripped off Mr. Earle.
