自分では言語化出来ないthe GazettEの魅力を、的確に表現されているコメントでとても共感しました。
Cassisから入りVORTEXまで聴いていた私は、先日の訃報を知り、またTOXIC以降の曲を聴き始めました。
進化した表現に厚みがあり、当時よりラウドな音に聴こえましたが、骨格のメロディにはthe GazettEの芯があり、バックボーンはやはりヴィジュアル系なのだと感じました。
聴きあさっていた当時から正統に進化した唯一無二の音楽だと思います。

GazettE was my favorite band during my teenage years. I'm 25 now and hardly listen to any j-metal these days. But today I decided to check them out on yt on a whim, and was pleased to find this song. The sound, the looks and the vibe feel like the "older" GazettE I grew up with. Watching this video made me remember why I used to like their music so much. The song just fills me with nostalgia. Glad to see they're still going strong as ever ❤️
I'm very similar. I listened to them pretty much on a daily basis during several months/years during my teenage years. [I'm 28y/o now] Then I quit listening to Visual Kei bands/Japanese music. But about once or twice a year I'll suddenly think about them and look up some of their old songs on youtube and check if they have something new.
They might not be completely my current taste anymore, but they and their music will always have a special place in my heart.
I think the gazette still sound the gazette whatever music they made lol i don't know how to describe it, but the gazette's vibe is 'something'
honestly i’ve been more into j-metal these last few years. i was 19 when i started listening to The GazettE and Dir en grey and Alice 9. then i just became curious and curious and i’m too deep in the rabbit hole lol

I totally agree with you. I'm 26 and stopped listening to them after Dogma (and vk in general) but this reminds me a lot of the old GazettE which I loved.

ITS HERE!!!
There is a REASON this band has persevered when so many other VK groups have come and gone, and that’s because they deliver the goods time after time. Their sound and visual presentation is never anything less than stunning. I am SO looking forward to the full album. (World Tour once the pandemic is over, pleeeeease?)
It’s also about luck. Many great bands were very talented but didn’t had the money to keep creating high quality content. The GazettE are able to produce high quality content because they can invest for it. Many bands can barely invest for their music so imagine if they had to pay for videos too... A mv like this one is undoubtedly insanely pricey, most artists can’t afford this quality of work. It’s not JUST “talent” even tho they are very talented ! It’s also a solid part of luck and the fact that they are more mainstream than other bands. Not saying it’s commercial, but compared to some bands they are definitely more on the commercial side of Jrock.
They failed a number of times at the beginning so we gotta give them credit for being so persistent. Another great factor for their success are the fans. No matter how talented a group/band is, they cannot survive w/o the fans’ support. I’m extremely grateful that they’re still making music 19 years since their debut. I fear disbandment news once their 20th anniversary rolls around because all good things will come to an end eventually but let’s just hope for the best. 🙏🏼

@@amdiary7 Yeah, they’re still successful but we’ve seen groups and bands disbanding over the years after being in the industry for a good while so I’m always nervous as I watch the years go by. lol, they made me scared too. I’m hoping it’s the “Last Song” for this era/album and not something else. Yeah and also, to ensure they continue making music, I hope that the fans support them a lot by buying the album when they release it in May. They had to canceled their 18th anniversary concert last year so I’m concern about how they’re doing financially aside from the obvious concern for their health and safety due to Covid-19.

I’m glad you’re still here with us. My depression started at a young age. I’m still dealing with it years later. Sometimes I can keep it under control but other times, it’s beyond difficult to continue. However, having bands like the GazettE also helped me like they’ve helped you. Having close friends also helped me. Hopefully you have a few close friends as a support system as well. Wishing you the best! 💕

I listem to them since I was 15. Now I am 28 and still it is one of the best bands I know.
This song is a letter from Ruki (and the GazettE) for us. 2020 is a tough year for all of us, even for the GazettE. Ruki describes it as "暗闇" darkness. And the darkness is not over yet.
They just want us not to lose hope, keep hoping and fighting to achieve what we want to achieve cause they also will do the same. It's like they want to say "let's get through this hardship together with us, just don't lose your hope."
Ruki wants "everytime we face difficulties, watch this! And see the girl keep running tirelessly, it represents our hope."
And don't forget the white dove. We will find peace as long as we don't lose our hope.

That's sweet but my life hasn't changed at all with all the lockdowns.. I'm as the Japanese would call "Hikikomori" ..I've had depression and severe social anxiety in the form of anthrophobia (fear of people) for almost 20 years (started when I was 8 years old, I'll be 28 next month) so I stay inside my room playing my Switch.
I'll always respect this band for carrying on with Reita's wish. the GazettE will live forever, my sun. Thank you for everything, especially for allowing the honour of loving you during this past 14 years. WE ROCK!
I have listened to this song many times since its first release two hours ago, and I have always been amazed that this MV not only has a deep meaning, but also gives Gazette a new breakthrough in celebrating their 19th anniversary. A thing that should be appreciated by us as Gazette fans and rock music lovers anywhere in the world. And you will know what "another" breakthrough I have talked about once you listen to the video medley of this album. You will notice something "new" that wasn't in the previous album. I'm devastated and heartbroken by the latest news... Lately I've only been listening to the album Mass. I am so grateful to fate that while still at school I met such a group as The Gazette in 2008. Reita was one of the best bass players. I loved his playing! I’m very sorry for the loss of such a talented guy..I sympathize with his parents and relatives, members of the gazette. I have been listening to the GazettE since I was in middle school, I am now 28 turning 29 this year. I remember when I was being heavily abused at home, when I could escape for a moment in my room, on the computer my school had given me, I would listen to the GazettE. They were my escape, and to this day, when I need the most comfort I always go back to their music. I love that these men exist, that their music exists, and they will probably never know just how much they have helped and healed me. But regardless, I am so thankful for them. If anyone is reading this and they are in a situation they feel like they can't control, that they can't escape right now, I have been there. There are many of us that have felt like you do right now. You are needed, you are loved, you are important, and you have value in this world. Please don't believe anything horrible that has been said to you to break you down. You are a light in this dark and disgusting world and loving empathetic souls are what will change things for the better, don't give up. 🦋

of all the j-rock/v-kei bands i listened to as a teenager, the gazette stands out as one that just keeps getting better as the years pass. getting back into them after a number of years and i'm just blown away by their newer albums.
スタラビツアー後にバンギャ卒業してもう30歳になるけど、the GazettEは本当に10代から20代の青春やった。今でも定期的に思い出しては聞きに来てしまう…そして再熱しかけてる。いい大人だけどまたライブ行きたくなるなぁ。

Ruki still has it after so long. What an incredible vocalist. Not to mention his sense of style is always befitting.
