When you're rediscovering all your favorite JRock bands after 10 years and GazettE is the only one that has gotten irrefutably better with time. I didn't realize how much I'd been missing these guys
Same here... I'm rediscovering the old J-Rock/VK bands from back in the day too. Somehow I lost interest in many of them. Probably because a lot of them have turned into down-to-the-mill, pop rock, radio rock bands and I lost interest in J-Rock/VK bands in general. It's nice to see that many of them are still around and going back to their roots. I love that Gazette have become more heavier and darker during the last recent years. Plus the top notch high quality videos! I think that they are currently the most popular and successful J-Rock/VK band.
Yeah it's funny coz a lot of guys I meet in Japan go "Oh yeah I know GazettE. I listened to them 10 years ago" or something and I'm always like "dude they've gotten way better now" not saying the old songs were bad. I still love them actually and still listen to them.
@@xphoenix1587 I was talking about this with my brother a week ago or something.
I used to compare the GazettE and A7X in the past because they were from the same time and had similar styles due to heavy x melody mix and because they was my fave bands back in the day (gazette still my top 1), but as time went by, M.Shadows vocals were becoming somewhat softer, as if he couldn't handle singing wich such intensity anymore. I don't even remember which song has some kind of guttural as they albums between 2002 ~ 2008. Of course a7x melodies and instrumental still top.
In the GazettE case it's just amazing how much Ruki has improved since his old school songs. His vocals are a lot more stronger than before and he can still be as heavier as the studio recorded song. Everyone became a lot more skilled too.

Honestly this is one of my faves of all time. It kinda sticks to me deeply esp the lyrics, “life don’t change, god entomb my hate” something like that I’m really sticking to this beautiful song. :)

The lyric is, according to the lyric insert, 'Life, don't change my fate. God, entomb my hate.' And I agree, it is an extremely powerful lyric and it resonates somewhere deep. But, that's Ruki's writing I guess. I have always found at least one lyric line in each of their songs that resonates. Some in unpleasant ways as it draws memories and others in pleasant ways, for the same reason.
Idk why but every time i hear Ruki's voice... makes me feel better, relaxed... like he is some angel!!.. i wish one he comes in Greece so i can come to his concert!!

Was thinking about the meaning of the lyrics and video.
To me white dress of the little girl represents innocence. She is brought to white and black ghost (good and evil). White ghost is telling her about everything she can become, her dreams, her potential but black one (probably represents evil and flaws of men) is shuting her down as she is not allowed to dream. Girl ventures outside and upon realising she is lost in her innocence, the only escape she sees is in losing her innocence (innocence of a child). The evil world consumes her and she becomes one with it. In the end she is again in white dress, so that hopefully to me means that she didnt succumb.
Yeah, this is probably stupid but I'm rly interested in the meaning of it. Its probably rly far fetched and all but I just wanted to have my piece of mind here.

Almost same view. Though I think the white lady represent the religion and its dogmas as it calibrates the perception and morals of the young child. The black one represent the realities and evilness of the world in which she has been exposed and become tired of it. The naked white lady I think is her own pure innocence, vulnerable, and views painted by black by the world as she is trying to reach out to her to warn the harshness of the world. The kid is representing us, humans.
Idk but this is my subjective thought of the symbolism here. Though I really love this song and got inspired by it. :)
Ren Daguro Yeah, white one could represent religion or maybe even mass media and stuff, really nice one. I totally forgot about the naked lady, but it has to be the girl so what you said makes sense.
But I think we can both agree that the main theme of the video is child losing innocence. Thats something I've been thinking about a lot lately.

I remember how much I would listen to this song back in summer of 2016, those were some really good days...Three years later so much has changed, I've messed up so bad and all my hopes and dreams have fallen apart in front of me, I am in so much pain and there's nothing more I wish than to go back in time. This song reminds me of those happy and hopeful days when I thought I could finally achieve my goals and most importantly be happy but now I'm depressed and lonely and all I can do is listen to Gazette and cry myself to sleep every night....

Though I don't listen to J-metal these days (synthwave / post-metal instead), GazettE and DeG are still my favs.

I see Reita and I still don't believe it, I'm in that little shock that I haven't been able to get out of, I miss him so much, I miss him so much that I really wish it were a lie.
Reita was my favorite bassist, the person I had the most affection for did not deny that he loved the other members of the band but I adored him, I loved him, I loved him too much. It will sound silly but the affection and love I had for him was immense. It could not be demonstrated with words alone. In the 7 years that I had been listening to them, I solemnly swear that I loved him more than my life, more than myself, the value and meaning that he gave to my life was not changed by anyone.

Rediscovering Visual Kei after 15ish years, my God GazettE really improved ten fold. They were great before but holy hell they're amazing now. Hands down my favourite VKei band. I have had NIL and Stacked Rubbish in my collection for so long and I gotta say, of their albums since then Dogma has definitely become a fave. DIM is really great too. Goodness I've missed so much! Feels like coming home!
