  • Like most cities across the globe, Bangkok has its green spaces scattered amongst the skyscrapers and the concrete jungle. The oldest and most famous of these public parks is Lumpini in the heart of the business district. This is a beautiful getaway from the hustle and bustle of Bangkok's noise, traffic and pollution.
Lumpini Park is noted for the 400 or so Water Monitor Lizards which live there and provide a unique backdrop to this peaceful oasis. A stroll around Lumpini is a top activity for locals and tourists alike. If you are looking for a free daytime or early evening activity and to get some exercise and fresh air then Lumpini Park is the ideal place to visit.
In my next video I will explore another Bangkok park, this time in the Sukhumvit area of the city. The great news is that there is a 1.3km elevated walkway (The Green Mile) linking both of these parks.
