Gentaro is so quiet that I am worried about him. Gorilla｜Momotaro family

It is raining again this morning. Recently, Momotaro and Gentaro have been fighting, if it is a small one, but it is nothing to worry about.
It is the exact opposite as I had assumed that a male gorilla before becoming independent would act more flamboyant toward his father.
I am worried that when he really leaves the family, he might get homesick, etc.

Father MOMOTARO ♂(2000/7/3)
He is hesitant in new situations and is a loner.
His father died before he was born, and he had never spent time with a silverback.
He had already turned into a silverback by the time he was 10 years old.
He is struggling with unfamiliar child-rearing.
MOMOTARO's father is BIJU.
MOMOTARO's mother is MOMOKO
Mother GENKI ♀ (1986/6/24)
She is 14 years older than Momotaro and has a role to support the whole family mentally.
She has had a tumultuous and eventful life.
She has returned to her birthplace, Kyoto City Zoo.
She had never been blessed with a baby but after meeting Momotaro,
she had two sons.
She is a very maternal female gorilla.
GENKI's father is MAKK.
GENKI's mother is HIROMI.
First son GENTARO, male (2011/12/21)
He was separated from his mother Genki soon after he was born.
Genki's milk production was not very good.
He was raised by his keeper for his first10 months.
Because of this, he is very fond of humans.
His face is so expressive, and everyone enjoys watching him.
Second son KINTARO ♂ (2018/12/19)
He is just very strong-willed and independent.
He has big eyes and long eyebrows.
The way he plays a lot with his brother Gentaro makes everyone smile.
We can't wait to see what kind of gorilla he'll become!

Gentaro has turned out to be a beautiful silverback, but i think now he needs more activities for his level of thinking ! He's a very smart gorilla😊
Maybe him and Annie from the other troop should be put together!
I agree he needs his own space now to in either bachelor pad or matched up with a similar aged female gorilla for sure as he’s appearing depressed in some shots, surely the keepers can see it
I hadn’t seen Gentaro for a month or so and he is so beautiful. He’s developing his crest, his buttocks and his silvery coat. What a gorgeous gorilla, like his papa.

This has to be a very hard time for Gentaro.... he has the natural instincts to want to leave his family and he can't go anywhere. 😢
I'll bet he is very frustrated and confused by the enclosures right now.
That is old thinking based on other primates.
Gorillas are unique, and have only recently been observed so much with conservstion efforts.
50% of males actually stay with their natal group their entire lives...it's very much not like other primates where the females always leave, or the males always leave.
Gentaro could be wanting to leave, or wanting to stay and tske over top spot eventually. It really seems to be a personal choice with gorillas and not set in stone instinct thing.
@@PowerScissor Sadly, Gentaro doesn't have that choice. It's not up to him.

He looks bored. And every time he looks at the zoo visitors it appears as though he is wistfully wishing that he could leave with them. I wish they had more activities for the Momotaro family to engage in.

Gentaro es la estrella de la familia. Tiene ciertos modos bien particulares y es muy tierno.
Perhaps Gentaro senses a change in the dynamic of his family group. Other than occasional play with Kintaro, he doesn't seem to be a part of the troop. In the wild, young silverbacks like Gentaro often live on the fringes, outside of their troops, until they eventually form a family group of their own. Gentaro needs more mental stimulation and engagement.
Gentaro is still a "blackback" look at his legs and Momotaro legs.
Gentaro are still silver/black, we're as momo are silver.
Gentaro will be considered a silverback when his legs turn silver.
And I actually think Gentaro will be a bigger silverback than his father.
Yes Momo was a silverback at 11 but he stopped growing at 14.
I think Gentaro will be a silverback at 13 and grew till he 16.
Gentaro grandfather (Makk) Genki Dad. Was 252kilo remember that it's in Gentaro genes
Shabani was a late bloomer also he wasnt silverback till 13 and he stopped growing around 16

I agree with you, I also think Gentaro is going to be bigger than Momotaro when his growing stops. And, I referred to Gentaro as a "young silverback" because of past comments, to appease everyone that he's not yet reached maturity.

From what.i have read, gorilla males become silverbacks when they are sexually mature...not just for the color of their fur.
@@SolaKnitez-bt8wy some blackbacks are also sexually mature.

I notice that the tire is back to it's old height after being higher off the ground for a while. My guess is that it had been wrapped over the top of the beam above by Gentaro when he was having one of his little "episodes", lol. If the beam is about 8 inches tall and 8 inches wide that would mean that the tire would be 2 feet higher if it had gotten wrapped over the top of the beam, which is about where it was when it was higher.

Gentaro,está en una edad muy mala😮.No sé si la edad que tiene,12 años equivale a esos años en los gorilas o,como si tuviera 18 o 19 años.Esta en la pubertad.A esa edad,estan con las hormonas revolucionadas.Un dia triste y otro alegre.Es cuestión de tiempo,ya se le pasará. Se le ve sano y,poniendose cada dia más grande a,este paso va a ser más grande que Momotaro.Ya lo veremos dentro de 3 o 4 años.
Cuándo se considera a un gorila macho que es ya un SILVERBACK? Lo digo por Gentaro. Qué le falta, tener la espalda más plateada? los colmillos más desarrollados? más protuberancia en la cabeza? 🤔
En cuanto a la edad, los gorilas macho se convierten en adultos a los 13 o 14 años. A esa edad, suelen abandonar la familia por su cuenta. Momotaro llevaba lejos de sus padres desde que tenía unos siete años. Sin embargo, su caso es una excepción.

genitaro es grande fornido fuerte como su padre pero en el fondo lo miras y cuando se chupa el dedo y como si fuera todavía un bebé, no sé cuando lo cambien de sitio si tendrá compañía o estarás solo?
Why is it that Genki & Kintaro always get the special treats such as fruits and beans and greens….Momo & Gentaro get grass & tree branches. It’s sad to me I see all other gorilla families that get fed the same things they don’t have favorites. Kintaro is definitely the keepers favorite!!! Please let the handsome beautiful Gentaro go so he can have a family and zoo keepers that love him equally!!!
