That is one sharp Peterbilt! The dog will go anywhere as long as you let her in! I am like you I hate big cities too! The county I live in has only 18K people and La Junta has 7K people! The only reason I go to a big city is for doctors!

I do know that rush of a feeling when driving down the road in a tricked out Peterbilt,,I did 2 years in a `84 long nose 359 Anniversary Edition, dark red with gold pinstripes, 3406 B model, reworked by Bruce Mallison and the guy's at Pittsburgh Power,440 horse's on the ground,15 over,3.55 rears with full lockers, on tall 24.5 Bridgestone knobbies on the drives,Michelin on the steers,pulling a 39 ft Ravens polished frameless dump wagon,had over 200 led chicken lites on the truck and trailer,fully polished Alcoa wheels, tanks,Donaldson air cleaners,6" straight pipes,rookie poles on the front bumper,was basically a working show truck,,I'd get sweaty hands just rollin down to road,afraid some goofball was going to was going to be distracted by the shiny parts and the light's, and run into the rig!! Sure was a ball to drive though!! At Casey's suggestion, I've subscribed to your channel ,a fan of the Binders or as I fondly remember,the 13 letter shit spreaders, tough well built pick ups and carryalls!!😎😎😎

Ben, if you ever need video ideas, I bet those of us who are non-truckers would like some introductory descriptions of stuff that's just common for truckers. When/how would you move that fifth wheel receiver forward and back, why are the stacks so high, what are "glad hands"... etc.

nice rig!!!!! I am retired driver, learned on a 54 needle nose. drove an 88 379 with the same engine, the B's have that signature poof wind down sound from the turbos, We also didnt have that thar fancy big sleeper, we had them coffin sleepers if ya rolled over ya fell out of bed, basically ya laid down on your side and wedged ya foot between the back wall and the mattress. It is sure great to see one restored like that. All ya need is a stereo and a big talky talk radio for your large car. I hope you get years of enjoyment out of it.
Cut my teeth on a 86 Ex hood from the old Mayflower Moving company, so very similar colors. Set up just about the same except I think my rears were 3.30:1. My 3406 B was turned to about 425hp. Pulled a bull pot all over N central Texas with it. See yours sure brought back memories, sweet ride!!
Nice retro. I drive a Kenworth everyday. But mine is a single axle day cab. T680 from 2014. She's got almost 600,000 now. My company says it's time to get a new one. I love mine. Dad owned a '78 Marmon Bishop. It got wrecked. Takes me back. His was a lavender purple with a deep purple strip and pinstripes. He named it and had it put on the back of the sleeper. " She " was called "plum tickled".

Learned some things, like tolerances, gauges and ass chewing on occasion ( complaints, not directed at me mind u!) But I can imagine what a pain in the butt having a rig break down on you because some Chinese didn't mind and hold the correct tolerances, and a foreman or? pushed gears etc thru anyway.. Naughty naughty.. Then, Then?? There was Continuous Improvement, and JIT- Just In Time..manufacturing.. Think that Wal-Mart mimicked the place I worked for....🙄😏😉 😇 Praying your Beautiful new Rig does you Right!! Be Safe Out There! 👍M

Well to say that I am jealous wouldn't do it justice... quite happy for you. My last rig was a 82 W900 and it was something I miss bad. put over two million miles on it before the wife owned it in a divorce. I never needed it as I came to alaska and no need for them on the islands where I was a mechanic for many years
