Unity Game Asset Workflow(Blender/Substance/Unity)

  • Here is my workflow when I move from Blender, to Substance Painter, to Unity.
    Time Stamps:
    0:08 - Changing Blender settings.
    3:18 - Modelling
    4:00 - Adding Materials and creating High poly
    7:42 - UV Mapping
    8:56 - Exporting to FBX
    10:11 - Substance Painter
    11:49 - Baking Highpoly
    22:26 - Export Textures to Unity
    25:22 - Import to Unity
    29:46 - Where to get SBS materials.

    Nice video. As a dev who only uses Blender to chop models to pieces and do the most basic things. Super interesting to see you go through all this. And you do it so clearly.... I picked up a couple of things that'll help me in the future.

    Can't we import CAD Or Autodesk to design an object and drag it to unity

      Yeah, you definitely can. You would want to unwrap the model first, at minimum, before dragging it into Unity. As long as you can export it as a filetype Unity recognizes, you shouldn't have any problems.

      @@TexasFunk101 Seriously thanks for the reply sir. Which software is best to design a 3d object. AutoCAD or Autodesk or Blender to import that design to Unity.
      Else is there any better and easy alternative to design a 3D image with photographs and import that model to Unity.
