The Aston microphones will tend to smooth out rough voices whereas the Lewitt tends to deliver more detail revealing the characteristics of the voice. The choice depends on what sound you want to achieve. For some genres, a rougher sound with saturation may be desirable whereas other genres benefit from a smoother sound. The Origin smooths out the sound slightly more than the Spirit in my opinion. All three are very good microphones so it comes down to the sound you are looking for.
I love your detailed reviews. I had narrowed down my search to at2035 and lewitt LCT240 pro. I am getting lewitt at around 25 percent less than AT2035. My only concern is that the off axis rejection is not great and my recording space is treated but does not block sound. I am currently using rode NT usb mini and have no issues with background noise. Would you suggest i go with lewitt or spend a bit extra for At2035.
Sorry for the late reply. Lewitt microphones are exceptionally clean and clear, but I have found they do pickup the room more than many other mics, including the AT2035. If background rejection is going to interfere with efficient setup and recording, I would recommend the 2035. (Check Black Friday sales, the AT2035 often goes on sale). For me it's about getting the "setup" out of the way so recording can just happen when you are ready and inspired. Just my thoughts, but I hope this helps out. Cheers!
@@askdrtk Thanks for your reply. You've really provided the clarity I needed. I really appreciate the effort you put into making your videos. Just subbed.
The difference will not be night and day, but the Lewitt does offer improved clarity. If your recording space is well treated for sound, the improvement will be more noticeable, but if it isn't, the LCT 240 being a condenser microphone will pick up more of the room and could end up sounding worse.
Lewitt has their version of the SM57 mic. It’s called the Lewitt MTP 440 DM. Only 99 dollars. If possible do a presentation on it.
Great suggestion! I have been wanting to try one out and will bring one in for review.
Great review. Thanks for putting in the time.
Thanks, I’m glad you enjoyed it!
Hi! What do you recommend for delicate, whispy sort of vocals? Looking for something with maximum warmth and a lower-mid range boost. Thanks!
Thanks for the clarification ! For those with a rough voice, what is the best choice Lewitt LCT 240 Or ASTON SPIRIT or ORIGIN ?

Hi sir,
i want to buy one mic for vocal hip hop between
lct 240 vs at 2020 and se x1a ?
which one good for vocal hip hop?
Nice job. Thanks.
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it. Cheers!
Hi can I use M-audio fast track pro? And, use it in a fender passport PA?
Both the ft pro and passport supply phantom power and have plenty of gain for the 240. You should have plenty of range of gain adjustment on both.
@@askdrtk with the passport of 250 it should work with a direct input from the mic?
Passport PD 250
I was thinking you had an E2. As I recall the PD 250 does not have phantom power, you would need a separate phantom supply such as an Xvive P1.
@@askdrtk cheers, thanks for your help!
for podcasting is this better than the presonus pd70

I'm seeking an adapter that will allow me to plug this into my computer?
You’ll want a USB interface like a FocusRite Scarlett
Nt1a sounds similar to lewitt
I heard that as well. Both microphones have a presence boost and gentle roll off in the lower frequencies.
Ive never seen anyone eat a microphone
ce test prouve que quand on a une voix aussi peu intéressante, on peut utiliser n'importe quel micro.
