It's just for myself😌: 1、I'm not (really)a fan. 2、It's not my cup of tea. 3、That's not (really)my thing. 4、I think I'll pass. 5、I'm not crazy about it. 6、I don't (really)care for it. 7、I'm not into it. 8、That's not for me. 9、It doesn't do anything for me. 10、I'm not much of a(cat)persen. 11、It was interesting. (〽️语气) 12、I can't stand it. 13、It drives me crazy / nuts. 14、I don't appreciate it.
Hi, Jackie. This is my first time watching your video and channel, and I really love it. It's a really nice channel. The videos you made are really useful and helpful for me. I really appreciate it. I'm looking forward to visiting here again. Hope you have a wonderful day. Love you ❤
Came across this video, really enjoyed it. It is the second channel I ever subscribed. Been in US for over 30 years. Just realized it is time to polish my English speaking a little bit.
Really like this video that improve my English skill and I can explain my opinion more precise. Though I am living in Australia six years but I still lack of ability to make a precise explanation for speaking.
There are minor differences. Some phrases cannot be used to express your dislike towards someone, while others can be used to express your dislike towards both something and someone. 1. I am not a fan of [something/someone] 2. [Something/someone] isn't my cup of tea 3. [Something] is not my thing 4. I think I will pass on [something] 5. I am not crazy about [something/someone] 6. I don't care for [something/someone] 7. I am not into [something/someone] 8. [Something/someone] is not for me 9. [Something] doesn't do anything for me 10. I am not much of a [something/cat/dog] person 11. [Something/someone] was interesting 12. I can't stand [something/ someone] 13. [Something/someone] drives me crazy 14. [ Something/someone] drives me nuts 15. I don't appreciate [something]
For 2 & 8, when you say [someone] is not for you /not your cup of tea, you are pretty much saying that person is not good dating material. For 10, when you say you aren't much of a [something] person, you can be saying that you dislike it, or you can mean that you are not good at it. For example: "I am not much of a sports person" = "I am not that good at sports" / "I am not that interested in sports" 11 is sarcasm which can come across as rude , so try to avoid using it. 15 can make you seem pretty rude too so yeah. 12, 13, 14 are very strong in their negative tones so if you are talking about someone, only use the phrases when talking behind their backs lol.
请问一下Jackie, 这些各种各样的替代“I don’t like it ”的句子,可否互用在不同的回答?还是都是一一对应的特定回答呢?例如:问题 what does your daughter think about gymnastics? 回答可否用:”She is not crazy about it.” “It’s not her cup of tea. “ or “ That’s not her thing.” Look forward to your reply, thank you!🙏
Thank you Jackie. Your lesson is very useful and I like it very much. I have saved the videos for my frequent watching. I'm your honest fan and thanks for your teaching.
I think it really depends on the situation and what you are talking about. The most used ones might be "I'm not crazy about it." and "I think I'll pass."
Jackie is so beautiful a teacher; I am really a fun, crazy, into, care, won't pass, much of a person, appreciate; she is my cup of tea, thing, for me, does everything for me.
l am learn...? The right sentence should be like this.(1)." l learn a lot from you. " ,or (2)." I am learning a lot from you. " ,or (3)."l have learned a lot from you since you taught me ".
I suspect the expression “I don’t like it” was what Jackie caught through interacting with people from Hong Kong, who tend to make up English expressions by directly translating from what they say in Cantonese.
Hi Jackie, I think you are an excellent teacher! However, I hope you would consider ditching topics like this - Do not say 'I don't like it!" I think topics like this are very aggressive and to an extent, it is not completely right because there are times we really want or need to use phrases like 'I don't like it!' and grammatically there is nothing wrong with that. Simply use topics like 'Different ways to express xxx" would have been so much better. Hope that makes sense.
不要再用 VERY+形容詞

Hi Jackie,
What is the different between “That’s not for me and that’s not my dish”? Thank you.
We never use that’s not my dish. Maybe it’s British English? I assume they mean the same thing.
