Hi, if you are watching on a phone, tablet or laptop, the speakers really can’t play back the bass frequencies sufficiently. We’d always recommend listening to a video like this with headphones or dedicated speakers.
My goodness! It has roundwound strings, doesn't it? So, how in the world did you make that slide all along the neck, but with no hissing noise that roundwounds usually have? Instead your play has all that mellow and warm sound we love on basses. tia
I have the flight mini P bass. I can put any strings I want in and trim to size. The E tuner I had to sand just a little but easy fix and think it was not a one off issue. I highly recommend you give it a try 😉.
@@AnarchyInTheUkuleleTV yes you have. It is the blue/tan version of this one that has a P style pickup. You mentioned you reviewed it but wasn't a fan of the colors.
Not sure if they'll make a left handed version, as they won't be making tonnes of right handed ones, but keep an eye out on Flight's website and social medias!
Sorry my bad. I relistened with my bose headphones sounds fantastic. I'm trying to decide between the new Kala(which I realize is a "P" bass) and the flight mini jazz,(which tonal wise I'd rather have). Thank you for the sound bites. : ) @@AnarchyInTheUkuleleTV
It certainly would be nice if we could get some in one of the guitar stores here in Omaha Nebraska. I’d really like to go to a mini base from my base to my Mustang base now I need something smaller because of
@@AnarchyInTheUkuleleTV I have already asked my local dealer that I use and who has a luthier that I use and they said well not really we probably wouldn’t get much call for it and unless it was in pristine condition, we know we’d have to send it back because you wouldn’t buy it any other way, even after we did a set up . they do free set up on all the equipment that goes out of the store. And yes I want flat wounds on it since when do you put round wounds on a base? There’s not even a dealer in Nebraska and I’m not driving to Kansas City to try out of base.
Which strings does it mount? The gauges you mentioned are pretty standard for standard scale basses, but if that's the case how can it be tuned normally being that short? How are string tension and intonation? Thanks!
It uses specific short-scale strings (23"), and is then tuned to standard bass tuning (EADG). The string tension is surprisingly fantastic - they're not floppy or 'farty' like some other small basses we've experienced, and it just makes you feel like you've turned into a giant! It's smaller, but feels and sounds like a normal bass! Some people have even tried cutting down standard bass strings to fit, but they unwind, so it's not ideal...
The bass is really very cute! But the audio of the bass is not very audible.

Sounds great with in-ear speakers
LOL! You beat me to it by a few hours, and yes I'm keeping mine too. Great review and fab choice of songs!😎
Haha you can beat us to the next one ;)
Thanks!

It uses mini bass strings (so they're the same as normal bass strings, but smaller gauge).
The slide is just down to pure talent ;)
Yeah! Talent - I knew there was a trick! ;-) @@AnarchyInTheUkuleleTV

Haven't heard of the Flight Mini P - we'll have to check it out!

Oh! Yeah we've had that one (sorry, didn't know if as the P style)
Purely on aesthetics the tuner pegs look oversized for the instrument but other than that looks nice. Great review.
Very true - but they feel great!
I think it looks cute.
Looks cool ! Love both pieces you played at the beginning and the end !!
Rock on!
Looks faintly ridiculous but it takes all sorts!
Great review & video. Really want to buy one, just needs one change, make it in a lefty 😁

Cannot hear the bass at all.

We haven't had the chance to try the Kala yet, but we absolutely love this Flight!

If you ask your local stores they might be able to get one in for you! :)

Too small and cramped. Just get a short scale bass -unless you are under 10 years old.
But it's so cute!
It's also perfect for a ukulele band, as even a short scale bass looks ridiculously big
@@AnarchyInTheUkuleleTV What ever turns you on! 🤷♂️
What strings are you using in this review?
They're the metal wound strings that come with the bass
