Why I chose the Flight Mini JB Bass! (with String Comparison)

I have extensively played all of the Ukulele basses on the market in my 16 years at Southern Ukulele Store. The Kala Solid Body Basses are amazing but I fell in love with Jazz Bass aesthetic of the Flight Mini JB Bass. In this video I will talk you through the bass and demonstrate the difference in sound and feel produced by the factory roundwound strings, the Kala Roundwound Strings and the Kala Flatwound Strings made by La Bella.

Loved watching this and all your thoughts on what is happening with the mini basses right now and it sounds like you have found your soul with the new JB and flats. So, I have two questions.
First, how does it compare with the Magic Fluke bass?
That is my go to at the mo and I’d quite like something to swap around with, but don’t want one to feel inferior to the other?
Question 2 might be a silly one, what is the difference between the JB and the P?

The Magic Fluke is good but the piezo sound is very different to magnetic pickups.
The P bass headstock is a different shape, body is lighter too. The J Bass has an extra pickup and more controls as well as a 4 in line headstock. It's heavier to hold

I also started with guitar as a kid and teen, eventually moving to bass guitar and uke. Love the new Flight with the Kala Flats . . . I am having a custom 23.5 solid body/two pickup built . . .will share with you when it is finished (also will have Kala Flats)

I use flats on my Hofner violin bass but on that bass there's not a whole lot of difference. Both better that the Flight strings.
