WOW!!! You guys really put so much into this! The time it takes to provide so much detailed information for your audience and supporters is a clear demonstration of your dedication, discipline and your generosity of heart. What you’re doing is truly amazing and I commend you! Truly beautiful work! I wish you much continued success. ❤️
I'm an Annemarie R follower and watched your channel because of her suggestion. I love this piece. Thanks Annemarie for helping me find Artist Till Death
Wow, what a Gorgeous piece ! Love the vibrancy of the colors. Especially impressed with the white. For me, finding a white to work in the resin has been a challenge. You guys Rock !!!
I love her so much. I’m also pleased you both had input as you do work so well together. I would not have thought to put the green in, but so happy that you did. I’m also so thrilled you got Le Rez pigments in time to incorporate them. Bonus for me. I could not be happier. Thank you for doing such a sweet job.
You rock! Thank you so much for considering us to do a piece for your home. I'm honored. Most of the reference photos for peacock colors had some lime element so I thought it would brighten the palette up. The LeRez worked out amazingly.
this is such a beautiful piece! i love working with resin but haven't learned to much about it. So i love how you show your process the cells in this piece are so amazing, getting awesome cells is what i love the most!! You are both amazing!
Hey girl. When we first started I couldn't find anyone willing to share the secrets of the resin trade so I decided to figure it all out myself and share everything I learned. Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to comment.
Good Morning Greg! Thank you so much for the well wishes. We start setting up tomorrow and are super pumped. It's my pleasure to review quality products for you guys!
Well once again the piece is beautiful the white pigment pace it look on Camera like it was just did it’s thing cell’s like crazy I always have to put a layer of clear resin and then the white pigment on top of it to get the really good cells. The way it looks in the video Susanna’s white pigment paste works so good. Not to repeat myself but it really came out beautiful y’all have a good evening.
Hey Hunter! We had a great evening - I hope you have a spectacular morning! We definitely love Suzana's white pigment - it basically does the work for me when it comes to cells!
Another spectacular piece!! And those colors... so beautiful and intense! I'll have to look into those pigments, both powder and paste... haven't gotten that far yet in my amateur pouring ;) Great work! I'm happy you're local, and hope to check out your incredible creations in person sometime soon!
hello and greetings from Germany. Your pictures are wonderful. Great compliment for that. I started working with resin a few weeks ago. I love it. However, I do not succeed in producing these cells. What exactly do you use for that?
Ooooooo-aaaahhhh......gorgeous. It's all that. The purple mica powder and the blues with the white are my faves (of course you know I love gold). I was really wondering about the yellow, but it came together nicely. Well done! You guys are awesome! Thanks for recommending Suzana Dancks channel and group. I've watched a few of her videos and she makes some gorgeous pieces too. Sorry I got sidetracked and never did that email I promised yesterday but I will get it done today. :-)
Debra Cox thank you so much! I ended up adding it because many of the peacock references I found had some kind of bright lime color. I love those purples and blues and whites together and definitely want to do an ocean now
At first, I wasn't sure if I liked where it was going. But at some point it really came together into another excellent work The colors are very deep and rich, I bet they look even better in person.
Rod Line to be honest with you I wasn’t sure if I was going to do another layer but after she fully set and I hung her up I loved her. Sometimes I have to walk away to get a good perspective of a piece.
I love this video I have watched it a ton it makes me lol with u 2 I keep wanting to try and make it of course it won't come out like URS E but can you please tell me the colors of spray paint you used I thought it looked absolutely amazing just with the spray paint and resin on top I bet it would of looked amazing TFS I LOVE YOU GUYS
Oh this was definitely worth waiting for 👏👏👏 amazing colours. You are both so beautifully creative & work/create together fabulously. I stayed up til 4am waiting ... waiting & then woke up to this gloriously vibrant piece. I did a resin pour at 3am & set the smoke alarm off .... whoopsy! It looks OK however after seeing this I’ll do another pour on too! ❤️❤️❤️
Hey Mariette! I'm so sorry it took so long to post. The internet in our old building just takes it's time unfortunately. I'm sure your 3am pour was brilliant. I have set off my fair share of smoke alarms lol. Once it had a sprinkler system attached.
Well I did do the resin pour and it turned out OK except I forgot to take the tape off after an hour or so (I was in bed asleep by then) and now I have a sharp edge. No matter, at some point I will do another pour over it and make sure I sand it down and tape it off this time, PLUS wait for a little bit for the resin to stop dripping. I haven't notice you taping any of yours? I guess it's because you let it run down the sides .... as my was a cupboard top, I didn't want to do that. Love, love, love EVERYTHING you do. Cheers to the King & Queen of resin
Discovered ATD thru Stone Coat Countertops today and subscribed! Your work and videos are truly inspirational!!! I just discovered resin art, but can’t wait to give is a go! Thanks for all the great videos!!!
Did you put anything over the spray before the resin? It looks more muted at edges than the original. Resin sticks to plain spray paint or did you do a bonding layer OVER it first? thankx from Hawaii
Lovely work as usual :). Would you have any suggestions for making the lacing and cells stay while the painting cures. For me, often when I use heat, lacing happens but it disappears... Could anyone know as to why that happens?
That is a white by Le'Rez. They are fresh on the market last month. You can find a lot of her stuff here www.suzanadancks.com/online-store/le-rez-mica-pigments-c27926804
I do love yall's work! This is stunning! A question......you said in the video that you were gonna "flood" it, I think. So is that using more resin on the piece than what is actually needed? ie: say you only need 12 ounces to cover a canvas but by my understanding flooding the piece would mean using a lot more resin. How much more "extra" resin do you mix up to flood the top? I hope I made sense here. Thank you!!
Hello and thank you for taking the time to ask a great question. A flood coat is to just do a top coat that is enough resin to cover the entire canvas (and the sides) at least 1/8 inch thick. It does make sense for sure. The amount of extra resin you would need depends on how thick the resin is and if you decide to thin it (by placing the bottles in how water). I would maybe say 1/4 more (that was 100% an estimated guess).
Beautiful!! That base layer was beautiful all by itself. :) I took a week off the net before Easter and yours was one channel I missed. :) Glad to be back and I have catching up to do all over... my emails, Instagram, TH-cam... The other channel I had to check was Lucas the Spider and there was a new one. He is sooo cute!! :) Just gives me all kinds of smiles just like your videos. :D - Heidi
Oh Heidi you sure do know how to make us blush! lol. It's good to have you back and we definitely noticed you were gone. I bet the break from the web was refreshing - unfortunately we do not have the pleasure of taking breaks as our business is largely social media based. We are glad you are back.
Yeah but you need to take a break for yourself at least once a year. ;) It was nice. Spent some more time than usual outside so that was great. Get me lost (well not literally lol ) deep in a forest and I am sooo good. :D I just love it when the only things I can hear are birds, insects and the wind through the trees.
Bonjour de France, Jolie tableau 👍🏻 Question pourriez-vous me mettre le lien de votre masque ? Car sur Amazon il y en na beaucoup,je ne sais pas le quel il faut prendre ? Merci beaucoup 👍🏻🙏😘
Hunter Davis yeah we are going to post daily paintings still. The art show will take a lot of our concentration this weekend but we will post videos on that experience too!
Did you use the Le Rez White paste as the white in this piece? What do you think of it as compared to the Castin Kraft? When you order the Le Rez do you have an idea on what the shipping time is because it's coming from Australia, correct? Or does Laura already have a supply here and so it ships from the states?
Good Morning Brenda! I think that if you use enough Castin Craft it will thicken enough to work really similarly to the LeRez Paste. The paste you just don't have to use as much. I'm not sure exactly what the shipping time is but I will definitely check for you. I just sent Laura a message to clarify.
Artist Till Death I just ordered the Castin Craft on Amazon and expected delivery isn't until April 10th through April 14th. I noticed in the last video that you said using the right White was critical for cell formation because that is something I struggle a bit with. So I tried some Mica powder and white spray paint last night but I'm just not getting the cells that you guys get. So I will try the Castin Kraft when that arrives. I will probably order some of the the La Red also and thank you so much for checking with them on shipping time! It's very much appreciated!
Brenda Mosal can you email us some photos of what you are working on? Maybe we can figure out what the cell issues are. We would love to help thornton@artisttilldeath.com
Sure... I am working right now but will go downstairs in a little while and get a photo of a piece that's trying right now. By the way, although I live in Colorado, I am based out of Dallas office for my work. I love it when you do the videos outside showing off the skyline. I love Dallas too!
Brenda Mosal does that mean you visit Dallas ever? Laura said it takes 10 days to ship from Australia. She is thinking about getting stock to hold onto for orders so that it doesn’t take so long
I have trouble getting cells to pop up . Do you use a special kind of paint? I use my heat gun and hair dryer and have used a torch at times too. Please let me know.
Sharon Hall hello Sharon. We use paints made especially for resin at this point, it makes all the difference in the world. Please check out some of our most recent videos for a breakdown of our favorite paints to use to get perfect cells. Those methods of heat are great, recently we have switched to a specific heat gun with an amazing attachment. Please shoot me an email thornton@artisttilldeath.com if you need more help 🤗🤗
Sharon Hall you can also add either a couple of drops of alcohol to the resin colors you are mixing (I usually only add it to a few of my colors), or a couple of drops of silicone oil to them. Silicone oil can be found at Lowe's or Home Depot. Gives me great lacing effects and cells! I use Apple Barrel paints from Walmart. Can't afford the expensive ones. Will definitely be getting some India inks, though! Hope this helps!
It's beautiful. I'm not a fan of that particular yellow, but it works. I love the way the white cells and you can see other colors through it. I love seeing those layers. :-)
I've just started resin art. I'm having a huge problem making cells, I'm using powder pigment, I have tried spraying alchohol 99% and silica in and on, nothing happens what am I doing wrong... If any do form as soon as I torch bubbles they dissappeared
I thought I was going to leave some areas transparent so that it could be seen. I should have used more transparent tints. Thank you for watching and commenting!
GORGEOUS piece!! Absolutely inspiring piece! Do try ArtiSue's epoxy pigments and metallic pigments when you get the chance. She's Australian based as well. :)
Add a ink or a transparent color in your resin.if you want a different color over your entire piece. Normally you make a little bit more to make sure you cover the entire canvas.edges and sides.
can i use 99 percent alcohol instead of 91? im in canada, all i can find is 99, and with people going nuts cause of the virus, i cant buy any alcohol anywhere,, i have 99 here,,,a bit
That is so crazy (🍌 🍌 🍌) amazing...I am so jealous of Judy getting this one !!! (Side note to Erika, I didn't have a canvas prepped, so finally got that done and while waiting for the 3rd coat of white gesso to dry I saw this video so of course had to watch it now and put off my own (haha) masterpiece ) lmao
Good Morning Ann! BANANAS!!!!! I'm just glad Judy loves the piece like I do. I'm sure your piece ended up being a masterpiece. Did you post to facebook?
Videographer needs to focus more instead of panning all over the place, and speak more loudly and explain in more detail, and less meaningless mumbling chatte. Sorry but was difficult to follow.r
Why bother spray painting board to begin with ? Ive seen less product used in less time come out better. Its pretty enough , just seems like to much waist. Long video
Hey there, I thought I was going to use transparent paints so that the spray paint would be seen through the resin. That didn’t happen. Thank you for your feedback, hopefully you find something more to your liking on TH-cam. Have an awesome day
I sure like watching y’all do art, but… ugh! Does he have to be so goddamn critical of everything you do? I understand that I don’t know your dynamic as a couple but it makes me uncomfortable.
Hey Debbie, thank you for watching. We are very real in our channel and I’m sorry it made you uncomfortable. We are passionate about our work and sometimes it presents in an intense way - it’s something we are working on. Thank you for your feedback 🤗
Artist Till Death I appreciate that, your realness is refreshing and your interactions usually don’t bother me (and it shouldn’t because it’s your business 100%) but it just got under my skin today ...and I’m exhausted so I’m “full of artisty feels”. I really do enjoy watching y’all and have been marathoning your live-streams while I art along recently. This one is magnificent btw. ;o)
Those colours are so rich! Can see why Judy is so pleased it's a real beaut :D
Hey Lou! They are very rich! I'm super pleased with how this beast turned out. Thank you so much.
Very nice love the colors
Thank you Richard. We love the colors too!

Very impressive. I love the different colours that you used. Beautiful.xx
Thank you sonia! I wasn't sure if I was going to need to do a top layer on it or not but I think she is beautiful on a wall.
Absolutely Beautiful! I Love the colors too. I just started working with resins and I’m addicted! ❤️

I’m also so thrilled you got Le Rez pigments in time to incorporate them. Bonus for me. I could not be happier. Thank you for doing such a sweet job.

hello and greetings from Germany. Your pictures are wonderful. Great compliment for that. I started working with resin a few weeks ago. I love it. However, I do not succeed in producing these cells. What exactly do you use for that?
It's gorgeous!! 💜💚 Did you put anything under the canvas in order for the middle of the canvas to not sink with the resin? Thanks!
Yeah same question
Great job, and thank you for sharing, and I subscribed!

Hey Jan! Thank you very much. I love it.
Stunning, what kind of canvas did you you use?
Normally we use a Artist Loft canvas or cradle boards.
Gorgeous!!!😍

Will definitely be getting some India inks, though! Hope this helps!
It's beautiful. I'm not a fan of that particular yellow, but it works. I love the way the white cells and you can see other colors through it. I love seeing those layers. :-)
Karen Presley it was in every peacock reference I could find so.... yeah the pastes work amazingly well for cells.
Love it. There is such depth in this one. Thanks for sharing ❤from Illinois new subby
I've just started resin art. I'm having a huge problem making cells, I'm using powder pigment, I have tried spraying alchohol 99% and silica in and on, nothing happens what am I doing wrong... If any do form as soon as I torch bubbles they dissappeared
Debbie Chaplin powders are hard to get cells with for sure. Do you have any pastes?
2x3 goodness the size really gives those colors room to show off. Glad it wasn’t smaller or you could have lost amazing parts during tilting.
Hanging with Tony oh I would have had to exclude a couple of colors if it was smaller
What do you mean a good white?
Beautiful... but all the spray paint is covered... don't understand how it gives depth?
Why all the spray paint if your covering it up with all the other colors ?
I thought I was going to leave some areas transparent so that it could be seen. I should have used more transparent tints. Thank you for watching and commenting!
GORGEOUS piece!! Absolutely inspiring piece! Do try ArtiSue's epoxy pigments and metallic pigments when you get the chance. She's Australian based as well. :)
Jojo's Crafty Love I have some on the way
What is a tinted flood coat?
Add a ink or a transparent color in your resin.if you want a different color over your entire piece.
Normally you make a little bit more to make sure you cover the entire canvas.edges and sides.
Always use a respirator when using spray paint and/or resin-always.
How is it enjoyable if your stressed out doing it?
Because of the end result. It's challenging and it's different every single time you do it
When you say, "here she is still wet and freshly resined", did you mean you added a clear top coat of resin to the color work?
Yes Edie
So both layers of resin you used Envirotex Lite ?
can i use 99 percent alcohol instead of 91? im in canada, all i can find is 99, and with people going nuts cause of the virus, i cant buy any alcohol anywhere,, i have 99 here,,,a bit
Yes, I would use 99 if I had more access to ir

That is so crazy (🍌 🍌 🍌) amazing...I am so jealous of Judy getting this one !!! (Side note to Erika, I didn't have a canvas prepped, so finally got that done and while waiting for the 3rd coat of white gesso to dry I saw this video so of course had to watch it now and put off my own (haha) masterpiece ) lmao
Good Morning Ann! BANANAS!!!!! I'm just glad Judy loves the piece like I do. I'm sure your piece ended up being a masterpiece. Did you post to facebook?
Glad to hear it I hope you sell everything I’m sending as much good karma your way🙃

Videographer needs to focus more instead of panning all over the place, and speak more loudly and explain in more detail, and less meaningless mumbling chatte. Sorry but was difficult to follow.r
Thank you for your feedback. We have made some considerable improvements since this video - I hope you check them out 🤗
Why bother spray painting board to begin with ?
This one is magnificent btw. ;o)
Can you say what kind of spray paint you used?
