@@benbauer7866 yeah, don't get my wrong, I would probably get them as a casual option but couldn't trust a full layer of airpod with all that weight to boot.
I've run in them. They're actually incredibly stable. I used to have the same belief but they blew my mind in how stable and responsive they actually felt
I think some people are going to love them for running, some are gonna hate them, and some are going to just get them for casual use. Even as a Nike fan, I expected them to be a huge flop, but the reviews I’ve seen so far haven’t been so bad, and some are pretty good. I guess we’ll see how it pans out once they actually arrive in stores.
I’ve still got a brand new pair of V2s just waiting, but I do like 3s as well, in fact I also have a brand new second pair of VP3s as I bought them last year for a pb attempt but lost the summer and autumn to a hamstring injury! Happy days.
I was running today. Initially had on the Alphafly 3…. Not my first run in them, but the pods felt weird today. Like a roll of quarters under ball of foot. Switched to VF3… felt much more natural… looking forward to VF4. It will come down to them or Adios Pro 4 for Boston.
Hi Edd. ENA means ONE in Greek. I saw the shoes on action during the Athens marathon which the company gave a significant number of them to some fast Greek runners. From what I have understood the shoe seems to be more leaned to race rather than training. I think the aim is to bridge the gab of a faster trainer and a racing shoe. I will wait though your review as I have not yet try them.
Went out to find some hills today and had a go up a local street. It averaged 14% for 600m hitting 25% a one point, great practice for when the lifts have broken down 😅
@@EDDBUD That will need to be some amazing foam to replace the feel and durability (yes, I said it) of the air pods in the Tempo Next%. I have a pair over 1300kms and another pair nearing 900kms. As long as the pods stay intact the shoe just won't die.
Got the Alphafly 3 on sale a few days ago. Excellent shoe. Vaporfly V3 a bit unstable for me for long runs but Alphafly models (V1, V2, V3) excellent shoe for long runs. If the Vaporfly V4 is wider in the midsole / outsole definitely getting it. Not getting the Pegasus Premium.. It's a casual shoe..
I don't care what the vaporfly looks like. I just need it to be fast. The vf2 I couldn't wear due to the lacing, it hurt my foot. The 3 was better but I didn't like the way it ran. Hope the the 4 runs well and fits well
Yeah I think people are underestimating how many runners who like distances 5K and under are looking forward to this shoe. Looks like a beast for an all out 1 mile
@DennisBreunig for anyone who has track experience it won't be a problem at all, 10,000m is run in spikes. Definitely not a shoe for everyone but trust me there are plenty of people who have really high hopes for the SF2
Nike VF4 is a must for me. Streakfly 2 perhaps but not necessarily straight on release. The others Nay. That Peg Premium is a lifestyle shoe, in the same category as the Adidas Ultraboost.
I bought so many expensive shoes in 2024, I need to dial back in 2025, ie: Alpha Fly 3, Super Blast 2, Metaspeed Sky Paris…but I want the Zoom Fly 6. I don’t mind the silver on the VF 4s nice and reflective
Was excited about streakfly 2 as have current first version a much like as zoomx and very light. With negative drop of version 2 a big disappointment. Crazy why nike would do this as to appeal only to a few.
I feel like it's Nike that's lost it's mind! They ALL look terrible! The vaporfly could be a pegasus it's so boring. Boring! A vaporfly! 2 in a row. I'm worried about the Nike designers, genuinely, are they OK?
I will buy the Pegasus Premium at a discount just so that I can look cool while buying groceries. Stunt 101. Hopefully in all volt or black. I consider it like the Adidas Boost and 4D FWD range, fashionable appearance but is one truly going to run in it? That's what the Adizero Range is for.
Really feels like Nike have lost the plot with some of their designs. Vapourfly seems to be getting worse with every iteration Thankfully, I still have a couple of version 2s brand-new in the box to keep me going
I think that’s a sensible Yea or Nay. The Ena Proto looks interesting enough. It appears to be a uniquely designed blend of tried and tested components. And you couldn’t just not try out a new version of the Vaporfly, although as you say there probably isn’t going to be anything really new about it - regardless of the looks. Pegasus premium I think isn’t really a running shoe, it’s more of a runnable lifestyle sneaker. And the Streakfly 2 is as you say very much a niche shoe (but an interesting one, so maybe it can be worth a try down the line?)
Really curious about the Streakfly 2. The first edition’s been a staple for me; but feels like it’s getting lost in other brands developments - as you mentioned, the Adios 9 which I’ve just bought. Can’t wait to try the Streakfly 2 though on the local track
Vaporfly looks mad, that off white is cream worthy. Streakfly is badass for tracks workouts and shorter reps, can’t go wrong! Peg premium is disgusting, shouldn’t exist, least Nike style running shoe ever, no performance, barely any style even. It’s a very silly thing that’s for sure
The Vaporflys have nose dived for me, lots of other brands have now moved on and they are just getting worse. I did half marathons in the original streakfly, great shoe but again they have lost their way there too. Nike would not be anywhere near my shopping list of shoes anymore.
Nike's downfall. As bad as the workmanship of the shoes looks in the pictures, Nike could call their colorway diarrhea. Bought three pairs of Vaporfly Next % 2 for a huge discount a long time ago. Maybe by the time these three pairs are through, Nike will have found their way back. Dankeschön
Zoomfly 6 is amazing.
Those Streakfly looks like an absolute weapon. More excited about it than the Vaporfly 4 😅
Same. Can't wait.
Same!
Totally agree-I like the negative drop.
Was going to say that Streakfly looks like a road version of the spiked Dragonfly
Yes it’s not all that much of a road shoe now
I really think that’s exactly what Nike was going for with this one.
Great video, I'm happy about the Sreakfly 2.
In the US, we have the Adios OG in orange on the Adidas website for anyone interested
Always look forward to your 'Yay or Nay's' Edd. Great job 🤜
It’s fun to look at some stuff in a very quick format. Some of these shoes are just so similar it’s kinda crazy
Also I liked the upper to the VP2 for hard cornering on track, where the other Vaporflys felt a bit unstable
Let's just all agree that the Peg Premium is not a running shoe.
Agreed
It’s really just a “halo car” for the brand.

Cheers Ed. That Peg Premium has a good look to me, maybe a nice comfortable leisure shoe, certainly not for running.
The Pegasus premium looks very similar to the air max 2017.
It’s not far off!
My Streakfly have 115 km and I love them for 200m and 400m repetitions. They are the best!!
I love me some Yea or Nay Transformer Man!
Nike re-releasing their VF next%2 would probably put them on top again.
Yeah just retro the v2. 🤣👍🏼

Pegasus premium looks like it would be good as a street shoe you can run in. Single shoe for a one bag European weekend trip perhaps?
I feel like walking all day then trying to run on a giant bubble will cook your ankles and risk injury
@@5kribblesyou're doing holiday running the wrong way round. Gotta run first. Can't let touristing effect your training!! 😆
Finally, VF4 with symmetrical laces.
Yes maybe the weird offset lacing wasn’t that essential after all?!
@
Of course it wasn’t. If it was, every other Nike would have an offset lacing 🤣🤣🤣
Thanks for the sharing as always!
Thanks for watching!
Kinda liking the red on the VP4 but I guess harking back to my beloved 4%
Tempo Next % version 2 is the shoe that needs to come out. Best daily trainer. Come on Nike: listen to the customers
Nice 👍 review Edd non can compare to the Asics Metaspeed Sky Paris I love this shoe so much

Will check it out. Used to have some Ed Rush stuff back in 1995!
Achilles strains aplenty with that streakfly
Only for those that clearly didn't run with proper form to begin with. It's for athletes who have a good forefoot strike.

Think I’d mash up that Vaporfly heel rubber by the time I laced them up.
Vf4 looks like a throwback/prequel to the VF Next% though if i'm honest. It looks like an updated VF 4%.
Peg premium looks an old school golf shoe
It’s rather odd as a “big running comeback” shoe
Been wanting a Nike Tempo replacement forever now. The Ena looks intriguing... Although $230 (yikes)

Adidas Adios pro 4, Hoka Ceilo x1 2.0 and maybe see what asics have up there sleeves this year are my choices for 2025

The Streakfly 2 looks like it could be a great Parkrun shoe on tarmac.
