I feel weird drinking a beer while listening to this... Powerful stuff.
One thing people don't realize about addiction is this crippling fear of how hard life seems like it be without the drug you're dependent on. And then when you're finally clean you almost romanticize and rationalize the time you were addicted.
This is much better than the original song, I think it hits a lot harder.

Wanted to give an update I'm doing a lot better seeing a therapist and taking Lexapro. Things are coming together just doing what's right and trying to change my mind set. The mind is a powerful thing we have going for ourselves.

Addiction is hard, but feels good, but still bad. Thank you so much for your hard work. I keep my habits hidden for the most part from my family and friends, and I'm still trying to do it alone. This song does help me realize my faults, and even though I don't know, or haven't met you, you're definitely inspiring people. I'm unsure if I'll ever stop, but at least this is giving me the ability to rethink.
