Now, if someone could build and design a Sherzer rolling lift single leaf bascule type bridge with the immense counterweights on one end. There are several examples still extant in the United States. In the Cleveland Ohio area known as The Flats and also Buffalo New York, I believe.
I have bridge similar to that. I’m still working on my layout and now I’m at the bridge part. The bridge blocks a window that I will like to still have access too. How to I obtain this motor to lift the bridge.
Not exactly prototypical operation is it? Might have been better if it was a swing bridge, or had 2 lift towers on the ends, but I guess this is for a walkway between the benchwork?
Rey, I love the bridge but it will not fit on my 4x8 layout. I need a bigger layout. Right now, each time I come back home from visiting your store I have to sneak all my new Marklin trains down to the basement without her seeing. Could you please give me some advice on how I can build a really big layout but not get my wife angry?
Wow, this is a question that has been plaguing model railroaders for years, I think no one has come up with a good solution yet. I think someone needs to create a think tank and maybe we can come up with some sort of strategy!! Hahahaha!!
I’m interested in a pair of these, won’t be as long of a span but I’m done with ducking under!!

That is cool as h---
Hey when you make one as a draw bridge to be more realistic I am interested.
Better not let "Pugsly" see that bridge......

Always buy her what she wants as long as it's as expensive as your toys and you'll be okay (Happily married for 48 years)
