Put a Valterra valve at the end of your sewer pipe, then open both your gray tank valves and they will both equalize together, doubling your capacity since you barely use your rear gray tank. Great videos, you guys got an amazing setup, boondocking like that is the best camping a guy can do!!!

Awesome video - beautiful location. A couple of suggestions related to your solar - if you don’t have one yet, I would get a battery shunt to more accurately measure the state of your batteries. Also, you may want to have the battery cables swapped for some 4/0 size wiring - this will help with times when you are running your AC (180 amps on the current battery cable wiring is a bit much). 4/0 AWG size wiring will handle it with ease. Also the positive feed from your batteries should be on a different battery than the ground feed - this evens out the draw on the batteries so they share in the load more. I installed my own solar on my Grand Design and had to learn all of this.
Again you guys have been very inspirational to us as we have gotten back into camping again after a several year pause.

You know, thinking about laundry and the dryer, I've always had this thing about hanging my laundry on a laundry line. Everything smells so much better, it's a simple pleasure for me when I can do it. Now I understand that you don't want to hang laundry out to dry when you're in a campground or around too many people lol.... but give it a go sometime.

Now you just need to put up a small wind turbine for those cloudy days, (especially seeing how windy it was that day) very simple to integrate into your system and just put at the top of your ladder and just put it up to help charge as well. Great videos...thx for sharing!

We have used our washer while boondocking, then we hang our clothes out to try on our portable clothes dryer. We love our solar!

You can combine your grey water tanks if you close the outside and open both up they will create one big reservoir - That way you can go longer boondocking!

FYI. A lot of rvs you can connect two grey tanks together with a valtera valve added at the drain cap. If you have two tanks

They are so beautiful. I lovve the West. What beautiful scenery. Love the Moon in your video, great shot.
Love your house on wheels. If I had one with that toy hauler, I would make that room an office/craft room, and also store a motorized bike like the ones you all have. I would love to have that deck set up, and take breaks and sit out there like you all are doing. Also, a place to set up crafts, jewelry making, a critcut machine, Cricut Mug press, Cricut Press (shirt press), binding machines to make my own calendars, of places like Arizona, Grand Canyon, Southern Utah, Northern Utah, Logan and Utah State, as well as the University of Utah. I can make souvenirs and sell them.
Boondocking can be great if you got the solar and extra water supply. Also if you have the internet and cellular connections to magnify the signals. A smart TV, with all your connetions like Apple TV+, Disney +, TH-cam etc. Have movie nights. Oops, at least that spot is in a position that is not noticible.

Recommend you purchase two bladder tanks with a macerator. Then you can empty your grey and black tanks, plus fill your water with a 12 volt pump. That way you don't have to break down camp. Just use the bladders until you decide to go to the disposal site. Throw them in the bed of the truck. Most tanks hold 100gallons.

We bought 2 164 watt panels for $50 each and 2golf cart batteries at $100 each and a $25 controller from amazon. Our generator is not working and we always have power. We got led lights and there really bright and a cellphone reapeater so there’s always a load. We have a tv that runs sometimes all day. 😂😂😂 you parked on an off road tour trail! 😂😂😂
We didn’t know about them either the first time! LOL
When we use any appliances, we use the generator just to save our solar power. We learned how to use a gallon bucket of water to take a shower......our 100 fresh water tank lasts much longer!
We use All Fresh laundry soap packets.....if you ever spill your detergent bottle, you’ll understand why. Then we use vinegar for our fabric softener......vinegar cleans the inside of our washing machine and all the pipes leading to the grey tank, then it clears any smells in the grey tank!!! We use vinegar in the black tanks as well! When we empty the tanks for travel, after backwashing the tanks, we add a gallon to each black tank with 2 gallons of water (we have 2 grey and 2 black tanks)......keeps them clean, fresh smelling and chemical free.
    You’re doing great!

2 - 4 or 6 6volt golf cart batteries will get you off grid for awhile.
And with a few 100 watts of solar can make a big difference as well.
You get about 3times the run time out of 2 6volt batteries as you get out of 2 12volt.
Plus they have a much longer life span before needing replacement.

I love it! I'm just afraid with my limitations, being in a power chair, and that I would have to travel back to Alabama at least once a month to see doctor's and pick up my prescriptions from my mail. Then there are my babies. I would need a toy hauler with great insulation or sound reduction! Lol

What do you do about water beings you are out there for 6 days? Did you have to dump any tanks while you were there?

    • @EnjoyTheJourneyLife

We have about 150 gallons of fresh water between 2 tanks so we didn't need to refill or dump while we were there.

What fire pit do you use that can sit on your deck?!? Our laundry hookup does not go into a holding tank, so we wouldn’t be able to do laundry while boondocking. I did the same thing with the upper bunk. I wanted to be able to,use the benches, without lowering the upper.

If the water doesn't go into a tank does it just run out on the ground?

@@jamesglenn520 the w as Hong machine drain is plumbed to the discharge side of the grey tank line, so the sewer line must connected to use the washer. We don’t have a laundry setup, so this hasn’t been an issue.
